청소년 인터넷 사용시간의 변화와 요인분석

국문 초록

이 연구는 청소년인터넷 연구에 있어 주중컴퓨터사용시간을 주로 종속변수로 사용해 왔으나 주말 사용시간과 휴대폰 의존도를 포함시켜 다각적으로 살펴보았다. 여기에 중학교 3학년에서 고등학교 1학년으로 확대하여 비교적 주요한 시점의 시계열적 추이와 차이를 살펴보았다. 또한, 개인·심리-정서·관계·지역사회환경의 독립 변수를 구축하여 패널회귀분석을 실시하였다. 주중컴퓨터사용시간은 중학교 3학년에서 고등학교로 진학하면서 감소하였으나 주말컴퓨터사용시간과 휴대폰 의존도는 변화가 없었다. 성별, 소득, 정서문제, 자아인식, 친구들과 노는 시간, 또래애착, 부모의 양육방식은 미디어사용시간에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤으나 지역사회환경과 삶의 만족도는 유의미한 영향을 주지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 정서문제, 자아인식, 친구들과 노는 시간은 컴퓨터사용시간과 휴대폰의존도와는 상반되는 영향을 주는 것으로 확인되었다. 따라서 단순히 인터넷사용시간을 규제하는 것을 통해서 인터넷 중독을 예방하거나 판단하는 것은 문제가 있다는 것을 새롭게 시사하고 있다.

영문 초록

This study has mainly used the computer weekdays-using time as a dependent variable in the study of adolescent internet addiction. But, it has examined various aspects including weekend use time and mobile using dependency. As time elapsed, we expanded from the third grade of junior high school to the first grade of high school. In addition, panel analysis was conducted by establishing independent variables of individual, psychological - emotion, relationship, and community environment. The use time of computer during weekdays declined from junior high school to high school, but there was no change in weekend computer use time and cell phone dependency. Gender, income, emotional problems, self - awareness, time with friends, friends attachment, parenting type had a significant effect on media use time, but community environment and life satisfaction did not have any significant effect. And emotional problems, self - awareness, and time spent playing with friends were found to have opposite effects on computer use time and mobile phone dependency. Therefore, it is newly suggested that preventing or judging Internet addiction by simply regulating internet use time is a problem.
