영문 초록

This study seeks to explore the relationship between issue leadership of middle managers in local governments and organizational effectiveness considering the interaction effect between issue leadership and authentic leadership of middle managers. Empirical results show that subordinate’s perceived level of issue leadership provided by middle managers in local governments is positively related to the subordinate’s perceived level of organizational effectiveness. The subordinate’s perceived level of authentic leadership provided by middle managers in local governments is also positively related to the subordinate’s perceived level of organizational effectiveness. In particular, the results of this study show that the interaction between issue leadership and authentic leadership provided by middle managers in local governments has a positive impact on the organizational effectiveness. Empirical results of this study imply that the interaction effect between issue leadership and authentic leadership is one of the important factors in analyzing the relationship between issue leadership and organizational effectiveness in local governments.
