영문 초록

The Sangoyoroku is the collection of Japanese lute scores published in the Heian period. This paper aims at discovering the best Sangoyoroku edition by tracing the genealogy of its editions and comparing various editions available. Eight editions of the Sangoyoroku were selected, and the preface, postscript and imprint of each edition will be examined. The main content of the scores and the way the scores are recorded will also be compared. The result can be summarized as follows. Firstly, three editions of Kareki, Takatsukasa and Kyodai seem to come from the same lineage since the scores of the three editions are recorded the same, and they also have the same imprint. Secondly, the comparison of the contents of the scores helped to confirm the first result. By comparing the content of scores such as the melody and sign of Japanese lute various editions can be categorized into two lineages. Thirdly, considering its date which preceded other editions and its content with few typographical errors the Fushimi edition A can be regarded as the best edition available, and the Kareki edition follows suit.
