직업교육과 스포츠교육의 병행

국문 초록

본 연구의 필요성은 한국의 스포츠계가 그동안 관행에 따라 운동선수들의 소홀한 교육과정을 묵인해 왔고, 이에 따라 운동선수들은 고령화, 지식기반사회에서 자신의 삶의 질을 향상시키는데 어려움을 겪고 있다는 데 있다. 그래서 선수들이 학업과 스포츠 능력 개발을 병행하면서 경쟁력을 갖도록 지원하는 독일 대학의 스포츠교육에 관한 최근 동향을 소개하고 국내 스포츠 교육의 개선을 위한 시사점을 제시하고자 한다. 독일에서는 1999년부터 대학스포츠협회(ADH)와 올림픽체육회(DOSB)가 지역별 올림픽 지원센터를 통해 100개 이상의 대학들과 산학협동하고 있다. 무엇보다 학생들이 대학교육과정에 충실히 참여하면서 학위를 취득하고 최고의 스포츠맨이 되기 위해 훈련을 받는 이중 경력 시스템이 구축되어 있다. 본 연구의 방법으로 문헌연구와 베를린스포츠대학의 유연한 학사과정 등에 관한 사례분석을 통해 최근의 현상을 분석ㆍ제시하였다. 연구결과, 독일스포츠 교육에서는 고등교육기관의 산학협동을 통해 엘리트 선수들이 학위취득과 경력개발을 성공적으로 달성하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 이중경력 지원의 확산을 위해 최근 원격교육을 통한 직업동반 스포츠 학위과정이 개설되고 있다. 이처럼 독일 스포츠교육의 최근 동향을 고찰함으로써 국내 운동선수들이 운동과 학업의 두 가지를 함께 수행해 가도록 대학과 스포츠유관기관과의 유기적인 산학협동이 연계, 구축되어야 할 것을 제언한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to consider how German college sports education combines academics with competitive sports, especially through which college students from Germany are highly competitive. The recent negligent management of university diplomas by athletes in Korea has raised calls for strict management of bachelor’s degrees. Reform measures are being introduced, such as strengthening exit management, to rectify the previously lenient practices for/toward school sports players. In Germany, about 90 universities are now participating in an initiative known as “Partner College for Best Sports. As well as the German Olympic Stadium (DOSB) also has partnerships with more than 100 universities through regional Olympic support centers. These universities have recently chosen a number of occupation accompanying degree programs from the dual system course model. By doing so, universities support the students in concurrently studying, gaining experience, and training, while pursuing a flexible bachelor’s degree course such as remote education programs. Research has shown that under the German sports system, the dual career system of higher education institutions has become more active. As a result, the number of universities and colleges participating in the Industrial-Academic Cooperation Education College continues to increase, particularly for vocational continuing education. The literature was examined to investigate recent trends in German sports education. As an example, this paper introduces a flexible bachelor’s degree at Berlin Sports University as a partner university. We are concerned about the suggestions that such German sports education models can offer for Korean sports education.
