교실 수업에서 구두 피드백의 정도와 유형 분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 교실 수업 속에서 실제로 이루어지는 피드백의 정도와 유형을 알아보는 것이다. 연구를 위해 A광역시의 중등 국어과 수업 영상 속 피드백을 살펴보았다. 영상 속 교사의 구두 피드백을 피드백 전략(시기, 대상)과 피드백 내용(초점, 비교 대상, 기능, 영향)으로 구분하여 분석하였으며, 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 실제 교실에서 이루어지는 피드백의 횟수는 한 차시 수업 당 4.78회, 10분당 1회로 나타났다. 둘째, 교사들의 피드백 유형을 살펴보면 피드백 초점은 과제 자체, 비교 대상은 준거 참조, 기능은 판단적, 영향은 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 피드백이 가장 많았다. 셋째, 피드백의 정도와 유형은 교사별로 매우 달랐다. 학생에게 적합한 피드백을 제공하기 위해서는 피드백의 효과에 대한 연구뿐만 아니라 피드백 자체에 대한 연구도 중요하다. 따라서 본 연구는 수업 속에서 실제로 일어나는 피드백에 대하여 살펴보았다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 시사점과 추후 연구를 위한 제언 등에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is actually to identify the degree and type of feedback that occurs in the class. For the study, we looked at the feedback in videos of secondary language classes in A metropolitan city. Oral feedback from teachers in the video was analyzed by dividing it into feedback strategies(timing, audience) and feedback contents(focus, comparison, function, valance). And the results of the study were as follows. First, the number of feedback made in the classroom was 4.78 times per class, once per 10 minutes. Second, we looked at the types of feedback teachers give in class. Teachers feedback focus was on the work itself, the comparison is criterion referenced, the function is judgment, and the valance to be positive. Third, the degree and type of feedback were very different for each teacher. To provide effective feedback to students, it is important to study the feedback itself as well as the effects of feedback. Therefore, this study is meaningful in that we have looked at the feedback that actually occurs in the classroom. Finally, we discussed the implications of the study and suggestions for further study.
