국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 CVC(Corporate Venture Capital)로부터 투자 유치에 성공한 기술창업기업 창업가를 대상으로 창업선행요인과 투자 유치 성과 간의 관계를 연구하기 위한 것이다. CVC 투자 유치에 성공한 기술창업기업 창업가의 창업동기, 창업지향성, 창업역량 등 창업선행요인의 이해는 예비창업자나 창업가 대상 창업과 경영 교육프로그램, 투자기관의 투자 프로세스 수립 근거를 제시한다. 본 연구는 CVC 투자 유치 기술창업기업 창업가의 창업선행요인 분석 모델 제안과 실증을 사례연구로 진행하였다. 연구 결과, CVC 투자유치에 성공한 기술창업기업 창업가의 창업동기, 창업지향성, 창업역량이 CVC 투자 유치에 성공에 영향을 미친다는 사실이 관찰되 었다. 특히 개인적 환경과 관련된 창업동기(배경과 경제적 환경을 제외한 성장과정, 가족, 동료, 멘토, 학력, 창업교육, 경력, 네트워크), 진취성 및 혁신성이라는 창업지향성, 기술ㆍ기능적 역량및 학습 역량 등 창업역량 요인들이 CVC 투자 유치에 큰 영향을 미쳤음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 연구결과는 예비창업자나 초기 창업기업에게 유용한 교훈이 될 수 있으며, CVC의 창업기업 투자 시 창업기업 선별, 예비창업자나 창업가 대상 교육프로그램, 코칭 및 멘토링 가이드라인 개발, 투자기관의 투자 프로세스 수립 등에 활용될 수 있을 것이다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 한계점과 향후 연구방향을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between entrepreneurial antecedents and funding of entrepreneurs who have succeeded in attracting fund from CVC (Corporate Venture Capital). Understanding of the entrepreneurial antecedents such as entrepreneurial motivations, entrepreneurial orientation, and entrepreneurial competency of a entrepreneurs’ cases would be helpful in developing educational programs and establishing funding process of CVC. We proposed an integrated model of entrepreneurial antecedents in the CVC funded startups, performing a case study. The result showed that the entrepreneurial motivations, the entrepreneurial orientation, and the entrepreneurial competency of entrepreneurs have much effects on success in attracting fund from CVC. The important entrepreneurial motivations related to personal environment such as growth process, family, peer, mentor, education, entrepreneurial education, career, and network. In addition, not only the entrepreneurial orientation such as proactiveness and innovation, but also the entrepreneurial competency (i.e., technical-functional competency) and learning competency had much effects on successful funding from CVC. The results of the study could provide the effective implications as per CVC funding process for technology-based startups, development of educational and training programs, and coaching and mentoring guidelines.
