국문 초록

본 연구는 우리사회의 왜곡된 성문화 속에서 2차 성징의 시작이 앞당겨져 준비 없이 성적변화를 맞이하게 된 초등학교 고학년 여아에게 엄마가 성교육을 잘 수행할 수 있도록 내용을 구성하여 제안하기 위한 연구이다. 성과 관련한 활동은 새로운 생명을 탄생시키는 근본적인 행위이기 때문에 성과 생명은 소중한 가치를 함께한다. 그러므로 성교육은 단순한 성지식 뿐 만 아니라 생명에 관한 올바른 가치관의 정립을 목표로 실시되어야 한다. 이것은 몇 회에 걸친 학교 성교육으로는 불가능하며 부모 가 생활 속에서 자녀의 발달과정에 맞추어 필요한 내용을 수 년 간 지속적으로 교육해야 한다. 그러나 대부분의 부모는 자녀에게 성에 관하여 어떤 내용을 어떤 방식으로 교육해 주어야 하는지 알지 못한다. 부모에게 제시할 성교육 내용이 필요한 이유이다. 본 연구자가 제안하는 성교육은 신체적 변화, 생명존중, 월경주기인식, 관찰과 기록 훈련 네 부분으로 이루어져 있다. 일상생활 속에서 선정한 성교육 주제를 자녀에게 가장 잘 전달해 줄 수 있는 매체를 찾아 제시하였고, 엄마와 딸만이 교감할 수 있는 의사소통 방식을 선택하였다. 초경과 함께 시작되는 월경주기를 인식하기 위하여 매일 관찰하고 기록하는 훈련내용을 포함하였다. 자녀에게 유해하고 위험한 성문화와 환경을 만든 것은 분명 어른들의 책임이 크다. 시대가 변했으니 가치관도 변해야 하고 개방적인 성문화를 인정해야 한다는 주장이나 불가피한 낙태를 인정하는 태도, 피임이 책임 있는 행동이라고 가르치는 성교육이 학교와 청소년 전문기관에서 시행되고 있다. 혼란의 시대에 우리 자녀들을 보호하기 위하여 부모는 자녀와 끊임없이 의사소통하며 성과 생명에 대한 올바른 가치관을 전달해 주어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

This study aims to propose a sexuality education for mothers who will be able to give an education to their higher level of elementary school girls puberty ahead. The concept of sexuality and life are harmonized together because the activities related to sexuality is originated from the meaning of creation of life. For this reason, sexuality education does not merely provide sex knowledge but lead children to establish sound values of sexuality and life. This is not possible from several classroom sex educations. Parents should be able to educate their children about required contents of sexuality at an appropriate moment continuously. However, the parents feel difficult what or how the sexuality information should be provided. This is the reason why this study provides sexuality education for mothers. This program consists of four parts including physical changes, life respect, self-awareness of menstruation cycle and body observation and recording. Regarding sex knowledge, the sexuality educational media which is appropriate to explain well will be selected and provided during daily life. Mother and daughter will communicate with female cultural language. The body observation and recording session is supposed girls to aware the menstrual period starting from first period. focused on Although some people insist that we should take the open sexual culture or abortion rights, for the more the contraception is recommended for responsible behavior at school or educational institution. This is based on the concept of the values changes followed by change of time. It is responsible for adults that children are exposed to harmful and dangerous sexual culture and environment. Under these circumstances, parents should interact with their children to protect themselves and to lead them to build sound values about sexuality and life through this sexuality education.
