국문 초록

물류산업은 윤리경영이 필요성이 특히 강조되어야 할 산업군 중 하나로 이는 해당 산업이 다수의 공급자와의 밀접한 상호작용, 환경 및 안전에 미칠 수 있는 큰 영향력 등의 특성에 기인한다. 현대글로비스는 국내 물류 1위 업체로서 적극적인 윤리경영 활동을 전개하고 있는데, 이들의 윤리경영 활동은 윤리적 리스크에 대한 선제적 대응을 위해 전사적 지원을 바탕으로 하여 체계적으로 시스템을 구축, 운영해 왔다는 점이 특히 주목할 만한 점이다. 현대글로비스는 주주 및 투자자, 임직원 등과 같은 기업내외의 이해관계자에 대한 책임 이행, 환경 및 안전, 지역사회와 같은 보다 넓은 사회에 대한 책임 또한 적극적으로 수행하고 있는 바이다. 현대글로비스의 윤리경영은 국내 및 세계적 명성을 확고히 하는 방향으로 고도화를 추진하고 있으며, 화주기업과의 공생 발전이나 물류산업에 상존하는 노동사각지대에 대한 대응 문제, 지속가능한 녹색물류의 추진은 앞으로 윤리경영을 발전시키는 데 있어서의 중요 과제로 고려할 필요가 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The logistics industry is one of the industries in which the need for ethics management is particularly emphasized. This is due to the characteristics of the industry such as its close interaction with multiple suppliers, its great influence on the environment and safety. Hyundai Glovis is actively engaged in ethical management activities as the number one logistics company in Korea, and its ethical management activities have been systematically structured and operated on the basis of enterprise-wide support for preemptive response to ethical risks. That’s the point. Hyundai Glovis actively fulfills its responsibilities to stakeholders both inside and outside the company, such as shareholders, investors, and employees, as well as to awider society such as the environment and safety and the local community. Hyundai Glovis’s ethical management practice is promoting its efforts to secure domestic and global reputation. The issue of symbiosis with shippers, the problem of dealing with the hidden labor issues latent on the industry, and the promotion of sustainable green logistics might be the core issues the company evolving its effort on the ethical management.
