국문 초록

이 논문은 한국에서 아직 연구가 충분하게 되지 못한 개혁파 신학자 람베르트 다네우스(Lambert Danaeus)의 예정론을 살펴보는 것을 첫 번째 목적으로 한다. 그 후에 그에게 영향을 끼친 칼빈과 베자와의 연결성을 살펴 보는 것이 두 번째 목적이다. 그의 예정론에는 다음과 같은 몇 가지 특징들이 있다 첫째, 그는 예정론과 구원론을 교회론에서 다루고 있다. 이것은 그가 예정론을 교회의 유익을 위한 교리로 이해하고 있었다는 것을 보여준다. 아울러 그의 예정론이 칼빈의 영향 아래에 있었다는 것을 보여준다. 둘째, 다네우스의 예정론은 칼빈과 베자와 같이 이중 예정론과 전택론적인 이해를 보여주고 있다. 셋째, 그의 예정론은 칼빈과 베자의 예정론을 절충적으로 따르고 있다. 그의 구원의 서정의 중심에는 ‘그리스도와의 연합’이 있다. 그리스도와의 연합으로부터 ‘성화’와 ‘칭의’가 나온다. 이것은 칼빈의 이해와 유사하다. 그러나 칼빈적인 ‘그리스도 안에서의 선택’은 나타나지 않으며, 베자와 같이 그리스도는 예정의 실행의 영역에 한정된다. 넷째, 아리스토텔레스-토마스적인 이해가 칼빈과 베자보다 더 강하게 나타난다. 그의 예정론은 칼빈과 베자의 이해보다 더 세밀하고 논리적이다. 그러나 이로 인해서 사변적인 특징도 나타난다. 그가 가르친 유기의 순서와 같은 내용들은 받아들이기가 힘들다. 그는 칼빈적 스콜라의 전형적인 모습을 보여준다. 다섯째, 그러나 예정론에서 다네우스의 목회적인 관점도 드러난 다. 그의 작품은 예정론 논쟁을 해야 했던 베자의 작품보다는 더욱 목회적이다. 교회론적인 예정론과 구원론, 그리고 죄에 대한 하나님의 섭리에 대한 강조는 지금의 교회에게도 위로를 줄 수 있을 것이다. 그의 예정론은 제네바의 개혁 신학자들과 17세기 대륙의 칼빈 신학자들 사이를 연결해주는 전형적인 칼빈파 개혁 신학자로서의 모습을 보여준다.

영문 초록

The first purpose of this paper is the study on the doctrine of predestination of a Reformed theologian Lambert Danaeus who has received only minimal attention in Korea. A second goal is to take a closer look at the theological continuity between Danaeus and his teachers Calvin and Beza. I would like to show some noteworthy features in his doctrine of predestination. First, Danaeus treated the doctrine of predestination and soteriology in ecclesiology. He understood that the doctrine of predestination gave an instructive benefit to the Church. His doctrine of predestination was under Calvin’s influence. Secondly, Danaus’ doctrine of predestination showed the double-Predestination and Supralapsarianism like Calvin’s and Beza’s. Thirdly, Danaeus’ predestination followed Calvin’s and Beza’s by an eclectic approach. The ‘unity with Christ’ was located in central of Danaeus’ soteriology. The justification and sanctification came from the unity with Christ. This understanding of Danaeus was similar to Calvin’s doctrine. But Calvinist ‘electio in Christo’ was not seen in Danaeus’, and the role of Christ was limited in the execution of predestination as Beza’s the doctrine of predestination. Fourthly, it seems to me that ‘aristotle-thomistic understanding’ appeared stronger than Calvin’s and Beza’s in Danaeus’ predestination. His understanding of predestination was more logical and detailed than the understanding of Calvin and Beza. For this reason, speculative characters showed in Danaeus’ predestination. So I could not accept his “reprobation’s order”. He showed a typical Calvinistic scholar. Fifthly, the pastoral perspective of Danaeus was in the doctrine of predestination. His work had more the pastoral perspective than Beza’s work which was written during he had to debate on the doctrine of predestination. The emphasis on the ecclesiological doctrine of predestination, of salvation and God’s providence for sin still give comfort to the Church of today. Lambert Danaeus was a typical Reformed and the Calvinist scholasticism which acted as a bridge between the Reformers in Geneva and the Calvinists in 17th Century in Europe.
