남한 신식민/분단 체제와 ‘민주수업’의 불가능성

국문 초록

이 글은 남한 사회를 ‘신식민/분단 체제’로 개념화하여, 2016∼2017년 남한의 촛불 시위와 그 결과물로서 박근혜 대통령의 탄핵에 대해 성찰적 분석을 제시하고자 하는 시론이다. 남한 ‘신식민/분단’ 체제는 1980년대 말∼1990년대 초에 자본주의적 발전, 자유주의 정치체제의 성립, 국제법적 국가성의획득 등의 ‘가상성’을 통해 완성되었다. 이는 정치적 ‘진보/보수’ 구도의 탈역사적 형성과 종말론적 권리담론을 기반으로 한 ‘운동체제’의 성립을 추동했다. 이러한 과정에서 탈식민주의적 역사성을 계승하고자 했던 ‘당’ 운동은 합법적 정치 영역에서 지속적으로 축출되었고, ‘분단’이라는 역사적 특정성은 인식론적으로 배제되었다. 마지막으로 이 글은 대만의 사상가 진영진(1937∼2016)이 문학적으로 제시한 ‘역사의 정합’과 ‘사랑의 불가능성’이라는 문제설정을 참조하여 ‘현대’적인 당ᐨ인민 관계를 넘어선 정치양식의 창안으로서 ‘민중민족론’의 복원을 사상적 과제로 제시하고자 했다.

영문 초록

This essay conceptualizes the society of South Korea as a regime of ‘Neocolonial/Division’, so as to reflectively analyze the candlelight movement of South Korea from 2016 to 2017 and its accomplishment, the impeachment of the president Park, Geun-Hye. Set up in the late 1980s and the early 1990s, the South Korean ‘Neocolonial/Division’ regime was facilitated through a fabricated sovereignty including its capitalistic development, its liberalistic political regime, and its UN membership as a nation-state. Such a regime gave impetus to the formation of a political confrontation between the progressive and the conservative, and a ‘movement regime’ based on the rhetoric of rights in which an apocalyptic discourse lacking any geopolitical differences is endorsed. In that process, ‘party’ movement informed by a kind of decolonialistic historicity was repetitively expelled from legal political space, while some kind of historical specificity such as ‘division’ was excluded at the epistemological level. Lastly, this essay refers to the problematic of ‘historical integration’ and ‘impossibility of love’ revealed in the literature of the Taiwanese thinker, Chen Yingzhen (1937∼2016), with an attempt to call for an intellectual mission to restore ‘People-Nation’ thesis as a creative political model to overcome ‘modern’ party-people relationship.
