영문 초록

The Eastern European Countries could be simply defined as the region consisting of Germany, Australia. and Italy in the western part of that region and of some countries enveloped by the Ex-Russian border line from the Baltic Sea to the Aegean Sea. We can hardly find some identical features in context of people, culture, and religion in that region. It is almost impossible to explain with a generalized conception or definition because of complex and various characteristics of the Eastern European Countries. However, the diversity Itself is very an important aspect to understand that region. Various peoples have produced so many complex problems to be solved within the region since the 19th century. Within that region, multiple peoples have lived together with different languages and custom over 1000 years, which, in turn, caused to change frequently the national border lines through bloody war. In addition, frequent change of the national border line turned out a problem of the minority peoples. Borderline dispute and nationalism controversy are to be typically characterized to identify the Eastern European countries which have been mixed up by war and peace, conquer and surrender over the long time. The economy in that region has been suffering from retardative development since the middle of 1970s. Inconsistent economic policies implementations and policy conflict between new and old paradigms played critical factors to deter economic development and fail to promote efficiency. To promote their development and make a new framework of the economic system, the Yugoslavian economic development model could be employed as a benchmark by overcoming various difficulties. Unsatisfactory economic performance in 1970s was a reflection whether the eastern socialism society could be survived or not in 1980s.
