알코올리즘부정적결과척도(DrInC)를 이용한 알코올중독 환자들의 특성에 관한 연구

영문 초록

We performed this study to investigate characteristics of negative consequences of alcohol dependent patients using scale DrInC (The Drinker Inventory of Consequences) The subject of the study were 74 adult male alcohol dependent patients, who were admitted Seoul National Mental Hospital during Sep. to Dec. 1999. We measured simultaneously two kind of scales, Lifetime Consequences Scale and Recent of 2 Monthes Consequences Scale, by self-report method. The results were as follows：1) The severity of Lifetime Conseqences Scale is 4.23±2.80 in decile ranking that means medium degrees. The severity of Recent Consequences Scale is 6.03± 2.80 in decile ranking that means high degree. The correlation of two scale score was very high (.756). 2) Most severe domain out of 5 subscales in Recent Consequences Scale was physical problem domain that was 6.86±2.84 in decile ranking and was significantly higher to the other domains. Intrapersonal problem domain was shown to be the lowest severity among the 5 subscales. 3) Among the three age group, impulse control problem domain was significantly higher in the younger group than the older group. 4) Also we investigated characteristics of most severe domain for 55 subjects who have just only one the highest score among 5 subscale score. physical problem domain was the highest rate (N＝27, 49.1%), intrapersonal problem domain was the lowest rate (N＝1, 1.8%) and among the three age group, the older group, the higher rate of physical problem domain, the younger group, the higher rate of impulse control problem domain. In the middle age group, social responsiblity problem domain was the highest rate. In conclusion, there are different characteristics in negative consequences in individual alcohol dependent patients. Therefore, the specific treatment intervention tailored to each patient must be needed and this practice will improve the treatment outcome.
