영문 초록

Simulation and tandem queues with blocking are useful for modeling and analyzing discrete event system, especially manufacturing systems. Most analysis methods for this system are approximation methods that involve a decomposition of the tandem into a set of subsystems. This paper considers the production planning and scheduling control of the Jincheon RPC milling factory selected as an example for this study. There are several features that make shop flow control in the RPC system particularly difficult : random yield, complex production processes, facility failure, and rapidly changing technologies. The simulation program used here represents RPC facilities and processes and steps the rice sacks from start to product completion. Sacks movements during the simulation are ruled by arrival and service rates, transfer and delay time, and stochastic downtime of facility. This study presents the issue of how to display the most valuable information for making real management decisions regarding RPC milling operations. We use ARENA which is a simulation language can be built an event-oriented model with animation package function to simulate a tandem queueing model of a RPC factory.
