국문 초록

본 연구는 셉테드(CPTED)관련 요인이 주거침입 피해 및 두려움에 미치는 영향력을 살펴보고자 진행되었다. 즉, 셉테드 관련 주요요인(접근통제, 감시, 유지 및 관리)이 실제 주거침입 피해경험 및 주거관련 범죄 관련 두려움에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보았다. 연구의 대상은 전국의 6,550 가구(16,703명)로,「전국범죄피해조사(KCVS), 2010」자료를 이차데이터로 활용하였다. 연구목적 달성을 위해 로지스틱회귀분석(logistic regression) 및 다중회귀분석(multiple regression analysis)을 이용하였으며, SPSS. 19.0 프로그램을 사용하여 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 실제 주거침입 피해에는 성별 및 유지 및 관리요인이 통계적으로 유의미한 영향이 있었다. 유사하게 주거관련 범죄에 대한 두려움에 성별, 연령, 유지 및 관리변인이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the CPTED factors(access control, surveillance, Place management) influencing on housebreaking victimization and fear of crime in South Korea. The study employs secondary data「Korean Crime Victimization Survey, 2010」responses from a sample of 16,703 resident. and Logistic regression analysis was used to examine whether the likelihoods of housebreaking victimization and fear of crime are associated with the measures of access control, surveillance, Place management. The result of the study showed that Place management was statistically significant predictor associated with an enhanced risk of housebreaking victimization while controlling for other variables. Similarly, Place management factor has an impact on the fear of crime. In other words, Place management is the most effective variable among CPTED factors. policy implications of the study will be discussed. Also, further studies will be suggested to define and measure other CPTED factors in details.
