영문 초록

This is a report of a case that presents intramuscular hemangioma of the masseter muscle. The 8-yr-old male patient complained of swelling of buccal cheek during mastication. We excised the mass from the Lt. masseter muscle. The biopsy result was intramuscular hemangioma which presents cavernous type histologically. The post-op. prognosis was favorable. Intramuscular hemangiomas are rare tumors and more unusual in the head and neck region. The clinical features of intramuscular hemangiomas are different from the usual hemangiomas, so the correct diagnosis is very difficult.
