영재학생과 일반학생의 가정환경, 메타인지가 창의적 사고력에 미치는 영향 차이

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 초등학교에 재학 중인 영재학생과 일반학생 간 가정환경, 메타인지, 창의적 사고력의 차이를 살펴보고 영재학생과 일반학생의 가정환경, 메타인지가 창의적 사고력에 미치는 효과의 차이를 밝히는 것이다. 이를 위해서 대학부설 영재교육원과 초등학교 영재학급에서 영재교육을 받고 있는 초등학교 5학년 영재학생 105명과 초등학교 5학년에 재학 중인 일반학생 111명 총 216명을 대상으로 가정환경 검사, 메타인지 검사, TTCT 검사(언어, 도형)를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 첫째, 영재학생은 일반학생에 비해 가정환경에서는 정서적지지, 평가적지지, 정보적지지에서, 메타인지와 창의적 사고력에서는 모든 하위요인에 대해 유의하게 높은 점수를 나타냈다. 둘째, 영재학생과 일반학생의 가정환경, 메타인지와 창의적 사고력과의 상관을 확인한 결과 가정환경에서는 영재학생과 일반학생 모두에서 가정환경의 모든 하위요인들, 메타인지에서는 영재학생의 학습관리와 도형창의성의 상관관계를 제외하고는 모든 영재학생과 일반학생의 메타인지의 하위요인이 모든 창의적 사고력과 유의한 상관을 나타내었다. 셋째, 영재학생과 일반학생의 가정환경, 메타인지가 창의적 사고력에 미치는 효과를 확인한 결과 두 집단 모두 가정환경과 메타인지가 창의적 사고력에 유의하게 영향을 미치고, 창의적 사고력에 유의하게 영향을 미치는 가정환경 하위요인은 정서적지지, 물질적지지로 나타났으며, 메타인지 하위요인은 인지전략 수준과 메타인지 수준으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 연구결과에 따른 교육적 함의와 한계에 대해 논의하였고, 가정환경 및 메타인지와 창의적 사고력의 하위 변인의 관계에 대한 추가 연구의 필요성과 이와 관련된 프로그램 개발의 필요성을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences of home environments, metacognition and creative abilities in gifted students and general ones. It also reveal the effects of home environments and metacognition on the creative abilities. Subjects included the total 216 students, who are 105 gifted students from the institute of gifted education and 111 elementary school students. They were asked to take a family background checkup, metacognition test and TTCT test(language and figures). The results were as follows. First, gifted students showed significantly higher scores on all the subfactors in the field of home environments and creative abilities than general students. Second, a study on the correlation between gifted students and general ones showed that all the family background factors have meaningful relationship with the creative abilities. A study on the corelation between metaconition and creativity also showed that all the metacognitive factors are meaningfully related to creative abilities except for learning management and figure creativity in the gifted students. Third, home environments and metacognition both influence creative abilities. When students’ creativities are influenced by the components of home environments, both groups of students are affected by emotional support, material support, in case of metacognition, both groups of students are affected by cognitive straetegies and, metacognition levels. This study discussed about the educational implications and limitations resulted by the investigations and suggested the need for further research on the relation with subfactors of home environments, metacognition and creativity thinking skills with new program development related with them.
