피타고라스의 정리를 이용한 헤어컷 라인분석-오버다이렉션(Overdirection)을 중심으로-

국문 초록

헤어컷으로 하나의 기본 형태를 만들기 위해서는 그 구성요소들 간의 조화 및 상호관계 의 이해가 가장 큰 명제이다. 하지만 구성요소에 관한 깊이 있는 자료의 부재로 이를 전체 적으로 연결하는 과정에서 헤어컷을 이론적으로 이해하는데 어려움이 있었다. 이에 본 연구자는 헤어컷의 구성요소 중 헤어컷 시술시 내부 및 외부 라인을 결정하는 오버다이렉션 을 선택하여 집중적인 분석을 하게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 오버다이렉션(Overdirection)의 종류 중에서 두피를 기준으로 직각으로 당겨주는 Straight out과 바로 앞에서 시술한 섹션으로 모발을 당겨주는 Overdirect onto prevoius를 단지 시각적인 분석뿐만 아니라 오버다이렉션 적용 시 기장의 변화가 일어나는 이유, 오버다이렉션의 개별 분석, 섹션간의 상호 관계 속에서 변화하는 오버다이렉션의 효과, 머리기장 및 섹션의 간격의 변화에 따른 오버다이렉션에 의한 정확한 수치상의 기 장변화의 차이를 피타고라스의 정리를 이용•분석하여 이를 기장 증가치를 그래프를 제작 하였다. 또한 이 그래프를 대한민국 제 5차 인체치수조사 과정에서 얻어진 데이터를 이 용하여 제작한 25세에서 29세까지의 한국인 여성 두상 모델에 적용하여, 변화하는 라인 의 형태를 살펴보았다. 분석의 결과로 하나의 섹션 내에서는 섹션의 간격이 클수록 가이드라인의 길이가 짧을 수록 오버다이렉션에 의한 기장의 변화는 커졌고, 가이드라인의 길이가 15cm 이상이 되었을 시에는 오버다이렉션에 의한 기장변화의 효과가 급격히 떨어졌다. 섹션간의 상호 관 계 속에서 변화하는 오버다이렉션의 효과를 Straight out과 Overdirect onto previous를 적용했을 때, Striaght out 적용 시에는 하나의 섹션 내에서의 기장변화와 라인의 변화만 있었을 뿐 섹션들 간의 기장의 증가는 발생하지 않았다. 섹션내의 기장변화는 섹션의 클수록 가이드라인의 길이가 짧을수록 커졌다. Overdirect onto previous 적용 시에는 섹션의 간격이 클수록 가이드라인의 길이가 짧을수록 섹션들 간의 상호 관계 속에서 변화하는 기장 증가율도 커짐을 알 수 있었다. 이를 토대로 제작한 그래프를 실제 두상모델에 적용하였을 때, Straight out 적용 시에는 수치상의 변화는 있었지만 그 정도가 미비하여 시각적으로는 그 굴곡을 파악할 수 없는 수평라인이 얻어짐을 알 수 있었고, Overdirect onto previous 적용 시에는 섹션의 간격이 클수록 가이드라인의 길이가 짧을수록 형성되는 A라인의 각도가 가파르게 나타났다. 본 연구를 토대로 오버다이렉션 사용시 보다 정밀한 기장의 변화를 예측하여 헤어컷 시술을 효율적으로 할 수 있으며 되며, 헤어컷 교육의 학문적 기초 자료에 보탬이 되고자 하며 본 연구자에 이어 헤어컷에 관한 다양한 시각으로 의 분석을 통해 헤어 컷 기술의 발전이 이루어지기를 제언하고자 한다.

영문 초록

The history of beauty culture is the history of human being. It was only to decorate their body or to show their social position off, but nowadays we think that beauty culture is one of the ways to represent their desire and personality. These days, lots of beauty schools have been established in Korea, because a number of people who work in beauty industry have been increased. In the beauty education system, we normally said learn over the shoulder in the past. It means we learn hairdressing technique visually without any theory. Differ from that time, we teach a new comer who want to work for beauty industry with accurate theory about haircutting, tinting and permanent waving by considering about clients skin tone, facial feature and bone structure of head. The most important work is haircutting more than anything else out of hairdressing works. Haircutting is the foundation work before hair tinting or permanent waving. We can not achieve exact result we intended to unless we make accurate haircutting. So we need theoretical knowledge to build exact form in haircutting. The haircutting books and theses that have been published explain about how to eliminate weight, how to make movement and how to make volume but I think we need to look deeper at haircutting. That is why I am writing this thesis. It is the first point to understand relationship between sections and factor of form for making basic shape. But there is not enough information about factor of form, so it was hard to develop haircutting part to whole. I analyze overdirection which determines internal and external line during the haircutting. That is not only visual analysis but also mathematical analysis by Pythagorean Theorem. I made numerical value and graphs which represent variation of hair line. And also I applied that data on average Korean woman s head shape who is from 25 to 29 years old. As a result of analyzing overdirection, the form of lines and the hair length was varied depend on width of section and length of guide line. At the result of this thesis, we can see the bigger the section the more changeable the line and the shorter the guide line length, the more changeable the line. When the guide line became longer than 15cm, an effect of overdirection decreased and when I pulled the hair straight out, the length was changed just in one section and each section had same length. On the other hand, when I overdirected the hair onto previous section, the length was changed in a section and among sections as well. This data will help hairdressers to forecast variation of hairline and increased hair length when they are using overdirection. Also, this data will be one of essential theoretical basic data of haircutting element. I hope to make following-up study on various approach at hairdressing to develop the beauty industry.
