중년여성의 갱년기 위기 적응 경험

국문 초록

본 연구는 중년여성의 갱년기 위기 적응경험에 관한 연구이다. 중년여성들이 자신의 삶의 과정 속에서 갱년기에 어떤 의미를 부여하는지, 갱년기 위기에 적응하려는 그들의 구체적인 경험은 무엇인지를 파악하기 위해 질적연구방법 중 하나인 현상학적인 분석방법을 사용하였다. 자료수집은 2015년 4월부터 5월까지 중년여성 세 집단을 대상으로 포커스그룹 인터뷰 방식과 개별 심충면담 인터뷰 방식을 통해 총 26명의 연구참여자를 대상으로 하였다. 연구결과 도출된 주요진술은 147개였다. 이를 바탕으로 중년여성의 갱년기 위기 적응 경험은 극복을 위한 다방면의 노력 , 양가감정으로 따라잡기 , 내 삶의 변화에 맞추려 함 , 의미 있는 사람들로부터 지지를 받음 , 내 삶의 주인이 됨 의 5가지 의미로 범주화 되었다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 생의 전환기에 있는 중년여성들이 갱년기 위기극복을 위한 경험의 본질적 의미를 이해하고 실천하기를 추천한다.

영문 초록

A qualitative study was conducted to investigate crisis adaptation experiences of middle-aged women during climacteric period. The data were collected from twenty-six middle-aged women grouped into three focus groups as well as in-depth interviews with individual participants from April to May 2015. The data were analyzed by a phenomenological method developed by Colaizzi. A total of 147 significant statements were extracted from the data resulting in nine themes and five theme clusters such as various overcoming efforts , catch-up with ambivalence , adaptation to the changes in my life , support from significant people , and becoming the center of my life . This study provides us with better understanding of a crisis adaptation process of middle-aged women during climacteric period. Based on the findings, we propose developing a intervention program to overcome a crisis of climacteric period for women.
