영문 초록

The risks confronted by Korean rice farms are of particular interest, given the abolition of the Government purchase program of rice and the liberalization of rice market. This paper examines how Korean rice farmers manage risk, using an attitudinal scale approach. Inferences are drawn from the results of a survey mailed to a random sample of 1,000 farmers drawn from the populations of rice farms, in cooperation with Korea Rural Economic Institute. This paper provides data on rice farmers attitudes toward various strategies in managing risks.
