활용형의 적형성과 심리적 실재성

국문 초록

본고는 부적격형과 적격형이 모두 실험 자극 목록에 포함된 용언 활용형에 대한 어휘판단과제에서 어휘성 효과가 어떤 양상으로 나타나는지 확인하고, 이를 바탕으로 한국어 화자의 심리적 어휘부에서 한국어 용언 활용형이 가지는 위상을 심리적 실재성의 관점에서 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 활용형의 적형성과 복합도를 기준으로 어휘성 효과가 어떻게 나타나는지를 확인하기 위한 통계적 검정을 수행하고, 용언 활용형의 적형성과 심리적 실재성의 상관관계를 중심으로 그러한 검정 결과가 가지는 형태론적 의미를 분석하였는데, 부적격 사유에 따른 어휘성 효과 분석 결과에 따르면 모든 유형의 부적격형 활용형에서 어휘성 효과가 확인되었는데, 이것은 심리적 실재성 차원에서 부적격형 활용형이 미등재 적격형 활용형과 마찬가지로 규칙적 비단어 범주에 속하기 때문인 것으로 해석하였다. 활용형의 복합도에 따른 어휘성 효과 분석 결과에 따르면 단일형, 이중형, 삼중형에서는 어휘성 효과가 확인되지만, 사중형과 오중형에서는 어휘성 효과가 확인되지 않았는데, 이것은 송원용(2015나)에서 복합도에 따라 서로 다른 양상을 보이는 것으로 논의된 바 있는 용언 활용형의 어휘부 등재율이 어휘성 효과와 관련한 본고의 통계적 검정 결과의 뒷받침을 받는다는 것을 의미한다.

영문 초록

This thesis aims for investigating how the lexcality effect works in the lexical decision task including both wellformed type and illformed type conjuageted forms of verbs as stimuli. We ll analyze the psychological realities of conjugated forms in the mental lexicon of Korean speakers based on the result of those investigation. For those purposes, several statistical examinations were performed for finding if there are any lexicality effect in the experimental data and morphological analysis about the results of the examinatios was followed. According to the analysis about lexicality effect by the reason of illformedness, every illformedness type belongs to regular non-word category as the non-listed wellformed conjugated forms do. According to the analysis about lexicality effect by the complexity, the lexicality effect was found in single type, double type and triple type while not found in quadruple type and quintuple type. This means that the argument of Song(2015na) about the relation between complexity and percentage of listed items is supported by the examinations into the lexicality effect in our experimental data.
