영문 초록

In designing the adaptive model-following control (AMFC) system for the multivariable system, a reference model with specified design objectives is needed. General mathematical procedure for determining the best choice of the reference model for an adaptive loop, especially for the multivariable system, was investigated in this paper. The reference model was often selected by experience or trial-and-error; therefore, many problems were incurred in designing practical AMFC systems. To overcome these problems, this paper proposes the selection of an optimal single input-single output (SI-SO) reference model and a SI-SO plant. The resultant SI-SO plant has the similar dynamic characteristics as the original multi-variable system. In order to illustrate the feasibility and the performance of this method, both a 3rd SI-SO reference model and a 3rd SI-SO plant are assigned to the input as well as the output of the 9th bi input-bi output (BI-BO) thermal turbo-generator and automatic voltage regurator. The adaptive control law, which is applied to the design of the AMFC mechanism in order to improve the dynamic response of a turbo-generator connected to an infinite bus through a transmission line, is derived by synthesizing the 3rd SI-SO AMFC system. Utilizing the adaptive control law, a parallel AMFC system of 9th BI-BO thermal turbo-generator using the SI-SO reference model is developed. Using a step input as a reference, computer simulation illustrates that the AMFC mechanism with the SI-SO reference model based on the proposed method shows the excellent performance characteristics.
