영문 초록

This study tests the relationship between offending and victimization on cyberbullying. It examines whether its relationship is conditioning and there are gender differences in conditioning hypotheses. This study tests which the offending- victimization relationship is strong in male when subculture or individual’s low self-control is high and its relationships are different in female. Using data from 486 university students in Seoul, results show that the interaction effect between victimization and subculture on offending is significant in male, even though the interaction between victimization and self-control on offending is not significant. However, it is found that the interaction effect between victimization and subculture on offending is not significant in female, but the effect of victimization on offending is strong when self-control is high. Result also show that the interaction effect between offending and both subculture and self-control on victimization is not significant in male. However, it is shown that the interaction effect between offending and subculture on victimization is negatively significant in female, the effect of offending on victimization is strong when self-control is high. Results support hypotheses which there are gender differences
