초등학생 대상 인성교육 프로그램 연구동향 분석

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 초등학생 대상 인성교육 프로그램의 연구동향을 분석하여 초등학생을 위한 적절한 인성교육 프로그램을 개발·실천하는 방향을 제시하는 것이다. 분석대상 논문은 2001년부터 2016년 6월까지 수행된 학위논문 53편(65.7%)과 전문학술지 논문 17편(34.3%)이다. 자료분석은 대상학년별, 연구목적별, 연구분야별, 연구방법별, 그리고 측정변인별로 빈도와 백분율을 산출하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학년별로는 초등학교 5학년 대상 논문(25.4%)이 가장 많았으며, 1학년 대상 논문(7.4%)이 가장적은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 목적별로는 인성교육 프로그램 효과검증 연구(75.7%)가 프로그램 개발 연구 (24.3%)보다 더 많은 경향을 보인 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 분야별로는 정규교과(34.2%) 보다 교과 이외 분야(65.8%)의 논문이 더 많은 것으로 분석되었다. 넷째, 연구방법별로는 양적 연구방법을 적용한 논문(71.4%)이 질적 연구방법을 적용한 논문(28.6%)보다 더 많은 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 측정변인별로는 사회적 기능을 측정한 논문(40.2%)이 가장 많았으며 정서적 기능을 측정한 논문(12.6%)이 가장 적은 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구의 결과를 기초로 초등학교 저학년 대상 인성교육 프로그램의 개발·실천, 인성교육 프로그램 인증기준 강화, 교과와 연계된 인성교육의 설계와 실천, 질적 연구방법에 대한 관심 제고, 정서적기능을 측정하는 연구의 활성화 등을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the present study was to present an optimal guideline for program development by analyzing the research trends in character education programs for elementary school students. A total of 70 research studies published from 2001 to June 2016, including 53 degree s theses and 17 journal articles was selected. Frequency analysis and percentage by graders, research purposes, research areas, research methods, and measurement variables were computed for data analysis. The results were as follows: Firstly, the number of research for 5th graders was the highest, while those for 1st graders were the lowest among programs for elementary school students. Secondly, the number of character education program effectiveness studies was more than those of character education program development studies. Thirdly, research areas were divided into curriculum education and extra curricular activities, and more studies were focused on the latter. Fourthly, the studies using quantitative research method were more than those using qualitative research method. Lastly, the measurement variables related to social function were the highest, while those related to emotional function were the lowest among programs for elementary school students. In conclusion, this study suggests the character education program development for the lower graders in elementary school, strengthening program accreditation criteria, the implementation of character education linked to curriculum, more attention to research on using qualitative research method, and the further research on emotional function variables.
