국문 초록

본 연구는 노인들의 라이프스타일이 노후준비를 매개로 성공적 노후에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보고 성공적 노후를 위한 사회복지의 실천적 해석을 찾고자 하는 목적에서 조사가 이루어졌다. 연구의 필요성은 한국적 문화를 반영한 연구가 미비하여 고령사회를 맞이한 노인들에 관한 지속적인 연구가 필요하기에 사회복지의 실천적 해석을 찾고자 하는 목적에서 이루어졌다. S 시를 대상으로 65세 이상 노인을 대상으로 자기기입법과 대인 면접방법으로 설문조사를 하여 분석하였다. 연구방법은 첫째, 신뢰도 검증과 둘째, 기술통계분석을 하고, 셋째, 상관관계분석과 가설검증을 하였고, 넷째, 가설검증을 위하여 구조방정식 모형을 사용하여 가설검증과 매개 효과검증을 하였다. 라이프스타일이 성공적 노후에 미치는 영향에 대한 노후준비 의 매개 효과를 검증한 결과, 안전물질추구와 보수가족추구는 성공적 노후에 직접효과만을 보여 매개 효과가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 건강 여가 추가, 외향적도전추구가 동료 관계추구가 성공적 노후에 미치는 직접효과도 있으며, 노후준비의 간접효과도 존재하여 부분매개 효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 노인들의 외로움 중에서 동료간의 잘 화합하는 관계를 유지하고 건강 및 외향적도전추구로 적극적인 노후생활을 이어갈 수 있는 다양한 문화 자본 확보와 쉽게 소비할 수 있는 제도가 필요하다고 생각된다.

영문 초록

The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of elderly people s lifestyle on their successful later years with a mediating effect of preparation for their later life, thereby identifying practical implications for better social welfare associated with successful later years. The need for study was driven by the recognition of the reality that few studies have explicitly considered the Korean cultural traits unique to contemporary Korean elderly people. An analysis was carried out of self reported questionnaires and face to face interviews with elderly people aged 65 or more in S city in Korea. In order to test hypotheses and examine any mediating effects, a reliability test, a descriptive analysis, a correlation analysis, and a SEM were performed. The results of the analysis for sub-variables of lifestyle revealed that security and material pursuits and family oriented pursuits had significant direct impact on successful later years, but did not have any mediating effects on them. It was also revealed that health and leisure oriented pursuits, outdoor and challenge pursuits, and peer oriented pursuits had significant direct impact on successful later years. Additionally, an indirect effect of preparation for later life was found, thus showing a partial mediating effect. This suggests that what is needed for dejected and lonely elderly members in the society is to provide them with opportunities for developing and keeping good relationships with their friends and family members in a system where old people, as consumers of cultural capital, can have easy access to a variety of cultural resources and activities in their communities.
