성인대상 이러닝 기반 국제개발이해교육의 인지적 ․ 태도적 학습효과성에 대한 실증적 연구: S사이버대학 재학생을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 성인대상 이러닝 기반 개발교육과목을 통해 수강생들의 공적개발원 조(ODA)와 개발협력에 대한 인지와 태도의 변화추이를 분석하여 교과개발을 위한 기초자료 제공 및 개발교육 활성화를 위한 제언을 도출하는데 있다. 이를 위해 서울 소재 S사이버대학의 2014년 2학기 ‘국제개발과 해외자원봉사’ 교양과목 수강생을 대상으로 실험연구 를 실시하였다. 사전-사후 설문조사에 모두 응답한 89명을 분석대상으로 하였으며, 대응표본 t-검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과 인지적 영역과 태도적 영역에 모두 유의미한 학습효과성이 나타났다. 인지적 영역 중 개발도상국의 주요 당면과제에 있어 최대 현안인 빈곤문제에 대한 인지가 높아졌고, 교육․보건․식수 등 유엔 밀레 니엄개발목표(MDG)에 포함된 내용에 대한 인지도가 상승했다. 개발협력의 핵심 기초 지식 즉, MDG, 한국정부의 원조수행, OECD 개발원조위원회 가입 등의 내용을 습득한 것으로 나타났다. 태도적 측면에서도 개발협력에 대한 관심도와 해외 자원활동에 대한 참여의지 상승, 1인당 ODA 기여액의 증액에 동의하였다. 본 연구를 통해 개발교육 이러닝化의 고려 요소, 블렌디드 러닝의 도입, 그리고 개방형 온라인 공개강좌(MOOC)와 원격고등교육기관 등의 활용을 통해 성인대상 이러닝 기반 개발협력 교육을 활성화시킬 것을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The research aims at analyzing the extent to which e-learning based development education course gives an impact on adult learner’s cognitive and attitudinal outcome on official development assistance (ODA) and international development, and providing an evidence based reference to explore the relevant course development. And It finally suggests how e-learning based development education be invigorated. In order to achieve the above goals, A paired t-test between pre and post class is conducted to eighty-nine (89) students who take the course of “International Development and Overseas Volunteering”at a cyber university in Seoul during the second semester of the academic year of 2014. As a result, e-learning based development education course is tested to give a meaningful impact on student’s cognitive and attitude. More specifically, it addresses that students can perceive poverty as the most serious challenges in the globe, following education, health, clean water accessibility, which are included in the Millenium Development Goals (MDG) in post-test. Furthermore many of them comprehend basic knowledge of development cooperation, such as MDG, Korea’s ODA, Affiliation with OECD/DAC. Regarding attitude, it shows that students become more attentive to development cooperation and more importantly, demonstrates more willingness to participate in overseas voluntary activities than those in the pre-test. In addition, they vote for increasing individual contribution to ODA. The research gives some significant implications on traditional development education, such as main factors to be referred for conversion to e-learning course development and running, blended learning. Finally, it suggests that utilization of MOOCs and on-line higher education institutions should be promoted so that it may play a vital role in disseminating development education to its adult learners.
