국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 한국 경찰복지 여건 및 환경요인의 실태분석을 통 해서 그 개선방안을 모색하는 것이다. 이 연구는 공식통계자료와 선행 연구자료 분석을 통한 문헌연구의 방법으로 수행되었다. 한국 경찰복 지 여건 및 환경요인에 대한 실태분석은 직업복지, 건강 및 가족복지, 문화/여가복지, 그리고 미래설계복지로 구분하여 실시하였다. 실태분석 의 결과, 1) 적절한 보상체계의 문제; 2) 복지시설의 부족 및 후생복지 제도의 부족; 3) 휴양시설, 수련원 등의 노후화와 시설부족; 4) 퇴직경 찰관 대상으로 한 퇴직관리시스템의 비효과성이 지적되었다. 이 연구의 결과, 경찰복지의 여건 및 환경요인의 개선을 위해서 직 업복지, 건강복지, 문화/여가복지, 미래설계복지 차원에서 경찰직무의 특성을 고려한 법률 및 제도의 정비가 이루어져야 하는 것으로 나타났 다. 끝으로 연구의 한계 및 향후 연구를 위한 제언을 논의하였다

영문 초록

The purpose of this research is to explore the improvement plan for the conditional and environmental factors of Police Welfare in South Korea. The current study used the literature research methods by analyzing the official statistics and previous research findings. The conditional and environmental factors of Police Welfare were analyzed by four categories: 1) welfare of occupational; 2) welfare of health and family, 3) welfare of culture/leisure; and 4) welfare of future plan. The results indicated that: 1) problems of appropriate compensation system; 2) shortage of the welfare facilities and ineffectiveness for the police welfare system; 3) deterioration and/or shortage of the vacation facilities and the training center; and 4) ineffectiveness of the system of retirement management for the retired police officer. The findings show that it was necessary to modify the law and system of the conditional and environmental factors of police welfare on the above four parts by considering the unique characteristics of police work. The limitations of this study and suggestions for future research were discussed at the last part of the research.
