영문 초록

This study aims at conducting a time-series analyses applying the social network analysis(SNA) methods. It covers in- and out-migration issues within Chungcheong region. In specific, it focuses on the structural characteristics of demographic changes in Sejong city, namely, new administrative complex within Chungcheong region. Judging from researching findings, population migration network in the Chungcheong region presents distributed-centralized types for research years. Cheongju city in Chungbuk yields the highest in- and out-degree centrality, followed by Cheonan city in Chungnam province and Seo-gu, Daejeon. Since 2012, Sejong city has enjoyed relatively higher in-degree centrality, implying that its position as a destination has been rather strengthened in the population migration network in Chungcheong region. Without exceptions, Cheongju city, Cheonan city and Seo-gu, Daejeon present many nodes linked with other areas in the population migration in Chungcheong region, which would exert significant influences on the network. Also, it notes that Sejong city’s demographic absorbing power has become bigger over years in the Chungcheong region. In conclusion, this study pays attention to couples of cities with higher network centrality as they facilitate network formation geared towards wider cooperative network.
