칼로카가티아(kalokagathia)의 개념에서 본 무용수의 아레테(aretē)에 관한 고찰

국문 초록

무용은 인간이 지닌 여러 가지 예술 활동 중에서도 미적 중요성을 특별한 영역으로 다루는 독특한 예술 활동이다. 또한 무용교육 활동은 심미감을 풍요롭게 하는 개성적이고 독특한 능력을 발달하게 하는 특수한 성격을 지니고 있다. 무용을 수행하는 수행자 스스로가 내적 가치에 대한 의미를 부여할 수 있는 능력을 키우고, 내면의 세계와 현실의 세계를 중재하는 예술 교육 방법을 지니고 있다. 무용수의 뛰어난 아레테적 기능은 내면의 ‘무’의 세계를 현실세계에서 표출시키는 창조적이고 의미 있는 능력의 발휘이다. 또한 아레테의 기능을 겸비한 무용수는 자신의 내면세계의 가치관과 현실의 이성적사고 사이에서도 평범 이상의 능력으로 재해석해 낼 수 있다. 이에 연구자는 최상의 아름다움을 위한 이성과 육체의 합일을 추구하는 칼로카가티아를 통해 무용수의 아레테적인 활동을 살펴본 결과 무용수의 뛰어난 기능은 인간의 고유하고도 뛰어난 활동으로 인정받고 주목받아야 하며 이를 위한 장려도 끊이지 않기를 바란다.

영문 초록

The dance is a unique art work to deal with particular areas of aesthetic importance, among other artistic activities with a human being. Dance education also has the special nature of activities that develop their individuality and unique ability to enrich the aesthetic sense. Attendant to perform the dance themselves empowerment that can give meaning to the intrinsic value, has the art teaching methods to mediate between the inner world and the real world. Outstanding aretē of the dancer's ability to skill creative means to express the world of the none in the real world. Also, a dancer combines the functions of aretē can be re-interpret than ordinary ability, even among their own values of the inner world of reality and rational thinking. Dancers with special abilities to be achieve aretē of virtue, physical and mental harmony and ceaseless effort and practice to do this is to seek the self-reflection for philosophical thinking based on the concept of kalokagathia. Therefore, researchers should seek the best outcome outstanding feature of the dancers looked aretē activities of the dancers through the kalokagathia to seek unity of reason and physical beauty is noted for a unique and recognized by human activities, and also highly encouraged to do this.
