영문 초록

The increase of wastes can cause rising costs as well as greenhouse gas emission and poor quality of environment. So it is very important to manage the generation and disposal of wastes in terms of regional economic growth. However, a spatial data such as waste generation could have a spatial instability characteristic among regions. Thus, we should consider not only a change of spatial relative sense but a variety of potential sources that affect waste generation. In other words, it is also important to figure out the waste generation, itself, and the spatial pattern of determinants that affect the waste generation for more details about determinants. In this respect, this study identifies the spatial pattern of waste emission in Korea. Cross-section data is set up for the local governments and the spatial pattern of waste generation is analyzed by Geographically Weighted Regression Model in space econometic model. The results are as follows; according to Local Moran Index, the municipal and construction wastes in Gangwon Province has bringing out the increase of wastes in the immediate area. This is called HH type. The academic meaning on which this study focuses along with political and thought-provoking conditions is to apply Geographically Weighted Regression Model to research on wastes. This study shows that Geographically Weighted Regression Model using spatial weighted matrix is more appropriate than General Regression Model in empirical analysis using spatial data.
