영문 초록

Vietnam is a developing, agricultural country which has recently been growing rapidly. However, with its low-develoPE economy, urbanization process in general develops slowly with many problems. To solve the existing problems, the government of Vietnam has proposed many p이icies such as land use p이icy， spatial development orientation as well as ínfrastructure and environment policies. In short, Víetnam has been mobílízíng all its resources to buíld up íts urban sustaínable development, conform the tendency of íntegration with the region and the world. s paper studíes the urbanization pattems and urn problns ín Vietnam, from the definition of an urn， and the categories of cities and towns, urn uwth， urban problems to the policies for urban development.
