국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 초등저학년 영재아의 창의적 문제해결력을 신장할 수 있도록 시각적 사고전략을 활용한 초등 영재프로그램을 개발하는 데에 있다. 경기도 소재 G대학부설 과학영재교육원 다산과정(2-3학년) 초등영재아 15명을 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구에서는 창의적 문제해결력을 신장시키기 위해 시각적 사고전략에 기초하여 총 24차시의 활동프로그램을 개발하였 다. 이 활동 프로그램은 시각적 사고전략의 기초를 익히기 위한 12차시의 프로그램(관찰훈련,발상연습, 드로잉연습)과 주어진 문제 상황을 시각적 사고 전략을 통해 문제를 해결하는 12차시의 프로그램(아파트공간설계, 이솝우화 속 문제 해결, 쓰임새에 맞는 물건 설계)으로 구성되었다. 아동들의 창의적 문제해결력은 자체 개발한 도구를 사용하여 측정하였다. 시각적 사고 전략을 활용한 수업을 실시한 후 얻어진 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 시각적 사고전략을 활용한 수업은 초등저학년 영재아들의 창의적 문제해결력 신장에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 둘째, 창의적 문제해결력의 사전 검사 점수가 상위 그룹이었던 영재아들은 수업초기의 하위그룹 아이들보다 더 적극적으로 수업에 참여하였고 주어진 과제에 다양한 문제해결방안을 제시하였다. 하지만, 수업이 진행되면서 하위 그룹의 학생들도 주어진 과제에 다양한 문제해결방안을 제시하였다

영문 초록

I believe that we should develop a program leveled at the advancement of gifted students. In this program, we will focus on encouraging our students to improve their level of ability in all aspects of study, such as math, Korean, and science. The hope is that they will learn new creative problem solving skills based on visual thinking that they can use in school and beyond. 15 students, from 2nd and 3rd grade, will be chosen to participate in the program at Gyeong-in National University of Education. The curriculum will consist of 2 programs, for a total of 24 periods. The program comes in both basic and advanced levels, depending on the current abilities of each individual student. The basic program consists of observation training, exercise ideas, and drawing practice. The advance program includes these aspects but, expands upon visual problem solving situations, such as apartment space design, Aesop’s Fables riddles, and item designs problems. In order to verify the effectiveness of this developmental program, pre and post-test are used to gauge individual student progress. At the end of the program, we analyze the effectiveness of its components and make adjustments that we deem necessary. First, we determine the positive aspects that have occurred with the students through the use of our creative problem solving and visual thinking strategy methods. Secondly, we use a more aggressive pre-testing method of creative problem solving for our more advanced student and record the findings for grading purposes. Lower level students also actively participate in the intermediate and beginner lessons and are graded accordingly
