국문 초록

본 논문은 이주민 중 한국에서 비중이 높아진 이주노동자에 대한 실증연구가 적은 연구상황에서 이주 노동자의 모국문화유지행동이 심리적 안녕에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증연구결과를 보고하는 성격의 논문이다. 본 연구는 개념적 연구방법과 경험적 연구방법을 병행하되, 주로 경험적인 연구를 통해 연구목적을 달성하고자 하였다. 경험적 연구는 한국에 고용허가제로 취업하고 있는 미얀마와 베트남 이주노동자 146명에 대한 설문조사를 통한 실증연구로서 모국문화유지행동이 심리적 안녕에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 분석하였다. 실증분석결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 이주노동자의 심리적 안녕에 대해 ‘모국관련 미디어행동’(인터넷을 이용한 ‘모국영화음악감상’과 ‘MP3 등을 이용한 모국음악감상’ 및 ‘모국의 지인과 통화’)과 ‘모국종교활동 지속’만 유의적인 (+)영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 이주노동자의 심리적 안녕에 대해 ‘모국음식 먹음’이 유의적인 (-)영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, ‘모국인친구 어울림’의 영향은 모국 관련 미디어행동의 변수투입을 달리한 모형에 따라 (+)영향이 없기도 하고 있기도 하였다. 이러한 실증연구결과에 대해 토의하고 시사점과 연구의 한계점 그리고 향후연구에의 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This paper is the thesis having characteristic of reporting empirical result on the effect of the behavior of maintaining native culture on the psychological wellbeing of immigrant labor in the situation that the empirical study on the immigrant labor who have become high in the ratio of immigrant in Korea is few. In order to accomplishment this goal, an empirical study is implemented. The data for an empirical study is obtained from the survey on 146 immigrant labor from Myanmar and Vietnam. The summary of empirical study’s results is follows. 1) ‘the media behavior that is related with native nation’ and ‘the persistence of native nation’ only had the positive effect on the psychological wellbeing significantly. 2) ‘the eating native food’ had the negative effect on the psychological wellbeing significantly. 3) ‘the meeting with native companions’ had or did not have the positive effect on the psychological wellbeing significantly in two models that are different in variables of ‘the media behavior that is related with native nation’ considered. The discussion and the implication of these results, the limitation of this study and the direction of future study were suggested.
