국문 초록

학업 지연이란 학습자가 자신에게 주어진 과제를 의도적으로 미루는 일련의 행동들을 의미한다. 학업 지연은 학습자의 성공적인 학업 경험을 방해함과 동시에 물론 학습자의 동기에도 부정적인 영향을 미친다. 학업 지연은 학습 장면에서 매우 빈번히 발생하는 현상이나 학업 지연에 관한 이전 연구들의 제한적 접근 및 이론 간 다른 시각으로 인하여 학업 지연에 관한 통합적인 관점을 제시한 연구는 매우 미비한 실정이다. 이와 더불어 , 학업 지연 행동의 선행 요인들과 학업 지연 행동 간의 관계를 조절하는 요인들에 대한 고찰 또한 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는, 학업 지연 연구에 있어 관심과 필요성이 증가 하고 있는 청소년기 학습자의 학업 지연에 관한 연구의 토대를 마련하고자 하였다. 이에 기존의 학업 지연 연구의 이론적 쟁점들을 수렴하고 청소년기 학습자의 동기적 측면을 고려한 학업 지연 행동의 선행 요인을 제시하였다. 이에 실패에 대한 두려움, 과제 흥미와 과제 가치가 선행 요인으로 제시되었으며 이들 요인과 학업 지연 행동 간의 조절 요인으로서 학습자의 자기 효능감과 교실 목표 구조가 고려 되었다. 이를 바탕으로, 학습자의 동기적 믿음과 환경적 변인의 상호작용을 고려하는 학업 지연 행동의 향후 연구 방향을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

Academic procrastination refers to learners' irrational delay of academic works in learning process. Accordingly, learners ' successful experience and motivation would be suffer ed by procrastinated behaviors. However, research that clarifies integrated perspective and relationships among causes of procrastination has rarely been examined. There is need for understanding causes of academic procrastination and moderating variables between causes and academic procrastination behaviors. The primary purpose of the current study was to make cornerstone for investigating adolescent academic procrastination . and moderating variables between causes and academic procrastination behaviors. Thus, we integrated theoretical issues on academic procrastination and pro posed important causes of academic procrastination: fear of failure, task interest, and task value. In addition, learners' self-efficacy and classroom goal structure were considered important moderating variables. Together with, academic procrastination research considering interactions between learners ' motivational beliefs and l earning contexts is also discussed.
