등장성 수축 시 표면근전도의 특징변화를 이용한 성별차이

국문 초록

정적운동 시 표면근전도의 성별차이에 관한 연구는 스펙트럼 특징인 중앙주파수와 시간 특징인 평균제 곱제곱근을 이용하여 이루어져 왔다. 그러나 일상생활에서 동적 운동을 하는 동안 예측한 이들 특징 값은 불안정하여 표준편차가 크기 때문에 성별차이를 구분하기 어렵다. 본 연구의 목적은 상완이두근의 동적 운동의 하나인 등장성 수축 시 표면근전도로부터 성별을 구분할 수 있는 특성을 검출하려는 것이다. 이 실험에 참여한 피검자는 총 8명으로 여성 4명, 남성 4명이며, 상완 이두근의 근지구력시간까지 표피근전도를 측정하였다. 그리고 성별간 차이를 파악하기 위하여 표피근전도의 특징 값과 회귀기울기를 이용하여 등장성 수축 운동의 시작부터 근지구력시간까지 변화를 비교하였다. 실험결과에서 근지력시간까지의 중앙주파수 및 제곱평균제곱근의 특징 값을 이용한 남녀 간의 성별차이는 유의한 차이가 없었으나 (P>0.05), 이 특징들의 기울기에서는 유의한 차이가 있음을 보였다 (P<0.05). 따라 서 이 특징들의 회귀기울기가 남녀 간의 성별차이를 구분하기에 유용함을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

Gender differences have been studied by using spectral features and time features such as median frequency (MDF) and root mean square (RMS) in surface EMG signals during static exercise. MDF is the most commonly used as a feature to describe muscle conduction velocity. However, during dynamic exercise in daily life, the estimate of these features are difficult to indicate gender effects because of its instability and high standard deviation. The aim of this paper is to detect gender different characteristics from surface EMG signals during isotonic contractions as a dynamic exercise of the bicep Brachii. Eight volunteers (four females and four males) participated in this experiment to record surface EMG placed on the biceps brachii and each recording experiment continued until their endurance time. To find gender differences, we used feature values and regressive slopes of surface EMG and compared the feature changes from the onset to the endurance time of isotonic contractions. The result of experiments shows that the significant differences between males and females are not in the values of MDF and RMS (P>0.05) but in the slopes of them up to the endurance time (P<0.05). Therefore, the regressive slope of these features is valid to measure gender differences.
