국문 초록

본 연구에서는 대표적인 가뭄지수인 SPI를 이용하여 한반도 중권역별 극치 가뭄사상의 지역적 특성을 분석하고, 전체 관측 자료에 대 한 초과확률을 고려하여 계절별/유역별 수문기상학적 위험도 분석을 실시하였다. 관측 강우자료(1976-2010년)를 가지고 SPI를 산정하 여 심한 가뭄에 대한 시공간적 특성 및 경향성 분석결과, 한반도 봄철 가뭄이 더욱 심화되는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 한반도 5대강 유역 에 대한 4 GCMs을 이용한 평균 수문학적 위험도 분석하여 단기 및 중기 가뭄에 대한 기후변화 전망결과, 한반도 유역에서 가뭄이 취 약한 지역이 증가할 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 제안한 극치가뭄을 고려한 유역의 수문학적 위험도 분석 방법은 기후변화에 따른 한반도의 가뭄 예측 및 현실적 적응전략 수립에 활용 가능성이 높을 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed the regional characteristics of extreme drought events in each of the medium-scale basins in the Korean Pen-insula by using the Standardized Precipitation Index(SPI), one of the typical drought indexes, and analyzed hydrologic risk by season and basin in consideration of the exceedance probability of all the observational data. According to the results of estimating SPI with the observational rainfall data (1976-2010) and analyzing severe droughts’ time and space characteristics as well as tendencies, spring droughts are more serious in the Korean Peninsula. In addition, according to the results of analyzing average hydrologic risk by using 4 GCMs for five major rivers’ basins in the Korean Peninsula, about short-term mid-term droughts, basin regions weak for droughts are expected to increase in the Korean Peninsula. It is expected that the method for analyzing basins’ hydrologic risk in consideration of extreme droughts suggested here in this study will show high applicability in predicting droughts in the Korean Peninsula accord-ing to the climatic change and establishing practical coping strategies.
