노인의 우울에 영향을 미치는 요인들에 관한 종단적 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 신체적ㆍ심리적ㆍ사회적 요인이 노인의 우울에 미치는 영향에 대해 종단적으로 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이에 연구의 목적을 위하여 2006년에서 2012년까지의 한국복지패널자료를 활용하였으며, 65세이상 노인 2,043명을 대상으로 분석하였다. 연구방법은 STATA 프로그램을 이용하여 패널회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노인 우울정도는 시간의 진행에 따라 감소하였다. 둘째, 신체적 요인과 노인우울은 종단적 인과관계가 없었다. 셋째, 심리적 요인인 자아존중감은 노인의 우울에 부적 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 사회적 요인인 사회적 관계 만족, 국민기초생활수급 경험, 사회서비스 이용 경험은 노인우울에 부적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 연구결과를 바탕으로 노인우울과 인과관계를 가지는 신체적ㆍ심리적ㆍ사회적 요인에 대한 사회복지실천 및 정책에 대한 방향을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this research is to examine vertically effects of physicalㆍpsychologicalㆍsocial factors on the depression of the aged. Therefore, for the purpose of this research, materials of Korean welfare panel from 2006 to 2012 were utilized for the analysis and it was analyzed for 2,043 aged people at the ages of more than 65. For the method of this research, panel regression analysis was conducted by STATA program. The results of this research are as follows. First, the degree of the depression of the aged was reduced as times went by. Second, there was no vertical causal relationship between physical factors and the depression of the aged. Third, self-esteem which is a psychological factor made a negative effect on the depression of the aged. Fourth, social factors which are satisfaction of social relations, experience of national basic livelihood guarantee and experience of social service using made a negative effect on the depression of the aged. Therefore, it suggested the direction of social welfare fulfillment and policy for physicalㆍpsychologicalㆍsocial factors which have causal relations with the depression of the aged based on the results of research.
