대학생의 취업사교육에 영향을 미치는 변인 분석

국문 초록

이 논문은 대학생의 취업 사교육비 지출에 대한 조사를 바탕으로 사교육 참여 유무와 총 사교육비 및 유형별 사교육비에 영향을 미치는 변인과 이들 변인들의 상대적 영향력 크기를 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 검정하기 위해 성별, 학년, 전공계열 및 대학의 설립유형 등을 고려하여 대학생 720명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 조사내용은 대학생의 취업 사교육에 대한 인식, 참여도 및 사교육비지출규모 등이다. 분석 결과 응답자의 46.9%가 사교육에 참여하였고, 학생 1인당 연간 134만원의 사교육비를 지출하였다. 이 중 외국어 관련 사교육비를 가장 많이 지출하였으며, 다음으로 전공실무 관련 사교육비, 각종 시험준비 관련 사교육비 순이었다. 중요한 연구결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사교육 참여 유무에 있어서 학년과 모(母)의 학력이 높고 사교육의 기능을 긍정적으로 인식할수록 사교육에 참여할 확률이 높았다. 전공 관련 만족도는 낮을수록 사교육에 참여할 확률이 높으며, 남학생에 비해 여학생이, 사립대학에 비해 국립대학의 학생이, 예체능계열에 비해 인문계열이나 자연계열의 학생이 상대적으로 사교육에 참여할 확률이 높음을 알 수 있다. 둘째, 총 사교육비의 지출에 있어서는 학년과 월소득이 높을수록 사교육비를 많이 지출하며 자연계열에 비해 예체능계열이 사교육비를 많이 지출하는 것을 알 수 있다. 셋째, 유형별 사교육비 중 외국어 관련 사교육비에 있어서는 월소득이 높을수록 많이 지출하며 자연계열에 비해 예체능계열이 외국어 관련 사교육비를 많이 지출하는 것을 알 수 있다. 넷째, 각종 시험준비 관련 사교육비 지출에 있어서는 여학생에 비해 남학생이, 평점이 높을수록, 사교육에 대한 부담감을 크게 느낄수록 사교육비를 많이 지출하는 것을 알 수 있다. 다섯째, 전공 실무학습 관련 사교육비 지출에 있어서는 전공 관련 만족도가 높을수록, 사교육의 기능에 대해 부정적으로 인식할수록, 수강한 사교육에 대한 만족도가 높을수록 사교육비를 많이 지출하였으며, 아르바이트를 하는 학생에 비해 하지 않는 학생이, 인문계열에 비해 예체능계열이 사교육비를 많이 지출하였다. 사교육에 대한 인식과 사교육비에 대한 조사를 바탕으로 사교육비를 전공계열과 유형별로 분리하여 분석함으로써 각 전공계열과 유형별 사교육비에 영향을 미치는 변인이 서로 다를 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze variables affecting private tutoring for employment of college students. To accomplish this purpose, questionnaire method was adopted for this study. The questionnaire was composed of 14 question items asking about private tutoring for employment of college students. Total 720 college students at random classifying universities were selected as the subjects of the survey. Based on the above analysis, the conclusions of the study are as follows: Firstly, variables affecting the private tutoring participation were sex, grade, educational background of mother, type of establishment of colleges, major, satisfaction on major, and function of private tutoring. Female students, students of higher grade, students having higher educational background of mother, students of public colleges, students majoring in Natural Sciences, students having lower satisfaction on major, and students having positive recognition about function of private tutoring were more involved in private tutoring. Secondly, variables affecting total private tutoring cost were grade, parents’ income, and major. Students of higher grade, students having higher parents’ income, and students majoring in art spent more money as total private tutoring cost. Thirdly, variables affecting private tutoring cost related to foreign language were parents’ income, and major. Students having higher parents’ income and students majoring in art spent more money as private tutoring cost related to foreign language. Fourthly, variables affecting private tutoring cost related to preparation for various examinations were sex, GPA, and burden of private tutoring. Male students, students having higer GPA, and students feeling greater pressure to private tutoring spent more money as private tutoring cost related to preparation for various examinations. Fifthly, variables affecting private tutoring cost related to major and practice were participation of part-time job, major, satisfaction on major, function of private tutoring, and satisfaction on taken private tutoring. Students not participated in part-time job, students majoring in art, students having higher satisfaction on major, students having negative recognition about function of private tutoring, and students having higher satisfaction on taken private tutoring spent more money as private tutoring cost related to practical business.
