영문 초록

Earlier studies on the relations of Buddhism and the state brought out that the ancient royal families took initiatives in accepting buddhism. They developed to understand that the opposite attitudes on accepting Buddhism were due to the opposite political interests. Some even argued that a certain Buddhist doctrine supported the centralized political system. These arguments aroused debates until now. The systematic dimensions show more concretely the relations between Buddhism and the state, those are monk bureaucracy, monk selection examinations, and other administrations concerning Buddhism. Many concerning are clarified, especially by the conglomative studies with the stone lettered materials. Even it needs more careful analysis. The progress on the studies of political history caused the progress on this subject. The new studies concerning the establishment of the states enabled the viewpoint that the situations around the Buddhism acceptance was not simple at all. These views are rather on the step of problem presentation.
