국문 초록

이 연구에서는 문항반응이론을 적용하여 수직척도를 개발할 때 자료수집방법과 추정방법에 따라 산출되는 수직척도에서의 성장패턴과 척도변동성을 탐색하였다. 척도검사설계 방법과 공통문항설계방법을 반영한 자료를 모의실험을 통해 생성하였으며 각 자료수집방법별 동시추정방법과 분리추정방법을 적용하여 수직척도를 개발하고 각 방법에서 성장패턴과 척도변동성 추정치의 결과를 비교하였다. 연구결과, 공통문항설계방법을 통해 자료를 수집하여 동시추정방법으로 수직척도를 개발하였을 때 가장 오차가 크게 산출되었으며, 척도검사설계방법을 통해 자료를 수집하고 동시추정방법으로 수직척도를 개발하였을 때 산출된 성장패턴과 척도변동성이 가장 양호하였다. 각 자료수집방법별 추정방법 간에는 큰 차이를 보이지 않았지만, 자료수집방법 간에는 전반적으로 척도검사설계방법을 통해 개발된 수직척도에서의 성장패턴과 척도변동성이 공통문항설계방법을 통해 개발된 수직척도에서보다 상대적으로 양호한 결과를 산출하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to propose the relative appropriateness methods of constructing IRT vertical scales. In order to accomplish the purpose, this study compared the qualities of growth pattern and scale variability on IRT vertical scales based on different calibration methods and data collection designs. Scaling test design and common item design were considered in data generation procedure. Concurrent and separate calibration were used to construct vertical scales. Concurrent calibration method in common item design yielded the worst quality of growth pattern and scale variability while concurrent calibration method in scaling test design yielded the best quality of growth pattern and scale variability. The difference between calibration methods in quality of growth pattern and scale variability was negligible in each data collection design. However, the qualities of growth pattern and scale variability in scaling test design was superior to those in common item design based on each calibration methods.
