영문 초록

Now Cultural Festivals are increased in all local countries. Together with a variety of other special events, they are increasingly seen as unique tourist attractions and destination image makers. Iksan stone culture has too many merits; originality, and historical background. The purpose of this paper is to propose developing proposals of Iksan Stone Cultural Festival. In other to this purpose, middle range approach was adopted. A field survey was conducted during the stone festival in Iksan, from September 6-8. 1999. The sample size was 136 objects. Under 0.05 or 0.1 significance, many results are founded between demographic and psychographic values. The proposals through the empirical survey are as follows: 1) conducting to sufficiently publicity during the pre-festival interval. 2) constructing general and specific guide system to on festival. 3) introduction to experience program of festival theme. 4) induce regional tourist agency to stone festival in other to promote community economic benefit. 5) reposition to festival place. 6) coordinate to festival timing. 7) financial efforts to help active stone festival.
