영문 초록

In the last decade the issue of third party logistics(TPL) has emerged as a significant topic in the logistics literature in the developed countries. Third party logistics services refers to situations where a third party performs logistics activities that could be performed by the buyer or seller. Third party provider normally takes possession of the goods but does not take title, and provides its services for a price. On the other hand, recently the concept of third party logistics has generated considerable interest in korean firms, However, there has been little systematic analysis of the experience of those companies that have used such services. This study forcuses on how Korean firms can use the third-party logistics services by reinforcing their logistics system and by reforming logistics derelations. The objectives of this paper are : 1. To develop an understanding of the forces that have created an interest in the third-party logistics services. 2. To examine the obstacles encountered in implementing TPL services. 3. To suggest the impact of the use of TPL services and the directions for institutional Development. 4. To reform the logistics law and deregulations for improved institution.
