장애청소년의 전환교육 관련 연구동향과 과제

국문 초록

본 연구는 장애청소년의 성인기 전환과 관련된 국내 전문학술지의 문헌을 분석함으로써 우리나라 전환관련 연구동향을 파악하고 앞으로의 연구 방향 및 전환 영역 현장에 대한 함의를 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 국내 전문학술지를 대상으로 1990년 이후에 발표된 전환 관련 연구를 검색하여 총 21개 학술지에서 211편의 논문을 선정하여 종합 분석하였다. 최종 선정된 논문들은 발표연도에 따른 논문 편수와 연구유형으로 1차 분석된 후, 연구의 유형에 따라 (1) 문헌연구, (2) 조사연구, (3) 평가도구 및 프로그램개발, (4) 상관연구, (5) 중재연구로 분류되어 심층 분석되었다. 연구결과, 현재까지 발표된 전환 관련 연구중 문헌연구 및 조사연구가 전체 연구의 대부분을 차지하고 있었으며, 문헌 연구는 이론 탐색을 통한 모형, 원리, 전략을 제시하기 위한 연구가 가장 많았다. 조사연구는 전환교육 및 프로그램의 실태를 파악하고 전환교육 대상자 및 참여자들의 인식을 알아보기 위한 연구들이 주로 이루어지고 있었다. 또한 중재연구의 경우 발달장애학생을 대상으로 한 연구가 대부분이었고 연구 주제는 진로 및 직업, 지역사회참여, 자기결정, 사회성 순으로 나타났다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 앞으로의 전환교육 연구 및 실제에 대한 논의가 이루어졌다.

영문 초록

The purposes of this study are two folds: (1) to review and analyze transition research in Korea and focusing on transition to adulthood for secondary-aged students with disabilities and (2) to provide directions for research and practice. A total of 212 studies from peer-reviewed journals in Korea, published since 1990, were chosen for a systemic review. The studies were divided into five categories for in-depth analysis: (1) literature reviews, (2) descriptive studies, (3) program/assessment developments, (4) correlation studies, and (5) intervention studies. The results show that (1) most of reviewed studies were literature review and descriptive studies; (2) reviewed studies under the category of literature reviews provided transition models, principles and strategies; (3) descriptive studies were conducted to explore current status and condition of transition programs and/or services and understand perceptions of students, their families and teachers; and (4) the subjects of most intervention studies were youth with developmental disabilities and areas of intervention followed by career/employment, community participation, self-determination, and social skills. Implications for future research and practice were discussed.
