영문 초록

This paper provides a macroeconomic policy mix for the economic integration of the reunified Korea. For this purpose it reviews economic transformation processes not only in major eastern European countries but also in the former East Germany in a simple general equilibrium model. This study finds that especially a proper liquidity policy is required to prevent a steep fall in output and a mass unemployment in early transition period and thus monetary policy should not be too restrictive. Because of discontinuity of production during early transition period. fiscal policy should be also enough to revive shrunken investments. Above all, the privatization policy plays a fundamental role for establishing a stable market economy.
