국문 초록

학력을 보완하거나 대체하기 위한 자격의 활용 가능성과 통용성을 높이고자 하는 여러 가지 시도들이 이루어지고 있다. 또한 자격에 관한 기본연구를 통해 자격의 실효성과 효과성을 극대화하고자 하는 노력이 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 우리나라 전체 기업수의 90% 이상을 차지하는 중소기업 재직 근로자들의 자격의 보유 실태와 활용성에 대한 구체적인 연구는 미비하여 이들의 자격 취득을 지원하기 위한 정책적인 개선이 효과적으로 이루어지고 있지 못하다는 비판이 제기되고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 중소기업 재직자의 자격보유 실태 및 자격의 효과를 실증 분석하는 것이다. 한국노동패널자료를 활용하여 중소기업 재직자의 자격보유 실태를 파악한 결과, 성별로는 남성, 연령대는 30대, 학력별로는 고졸, 훈련참여 경험이있고 기혼상태이며 정규직 고용이 된 재직자들의 자격취득과 보유가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 자격의 효과 측면에서는 취업과 임금측면에서 유의미한 효과가 없는 것으로 나타났고, 여성의 경우 자격이 직무만족과 조직몰입에 부적인 영향을 미치고 있음을 파악하였다.

영문 초록

Many efforts was made to expand the utilization and availability of vocational certification. In addition, much research have been done in maximizing effectiveness and efficacy of vocational certification. However, a little research has been done in vocational certification of employees in small and midium-sized corporation. The purpose of the study was to analyze the current state on the employees’ acquisition of vocational certification in small and medium-sized corporations and its impacts on employment, wage, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment. We analyzed the data of KLIPS(Korean Labor Institute Panel Survey) in terms of gender, age, academic degree, training experience, marital status, and employment type. We selected these variables from the previous research that had been done by other researchers. In the results, the majority of employees who acquired the vocational certification were male, age 30s, holders of high school degree, married, and regular workers. It was found that the vocational certification had no significantly affected the employment, wage, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment in small and medium-sized corporation. We suggested the updates of vocational certification system in national level to improve the efficiency of the system. Additionally, we suggested a system that facilitate the acquisition of vocational certification by the vocational education and training as well as the update of current certification system.
