사례 고찰을 통한 잠수 사고 특성에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 1997년부터 2003년 까지 우리나라 전 국에서 발생한 스쿠버 잠수 사고 자료를 수집 및 분석하고 일본 및 미국에서 발생한 잠수 사고와 비교 분석 하여 우리나라 스쿠버 잠수 사고의 특성을 밝혀내었다. 연구 결과는 잠수 사고 예방에 큰 기여를 할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 사고 자료는 대한수중협회의 기술위원회에 보고된 자료와 해양경찰청의 자료, 스쿠버 잠수 전문점에 전화 통화 및 방문 조사를 실시하여 얻은 정보，DAN(Diver Alert Network)에서 발행한 잠수 사고 보고 자료집, 월간 잡지에 수록된 잠수 사고 보고 자료，그리고 세미나 발표 자료 등을 참조하였다. 자료 분석은 사망 사고에 국한하였으며 분석결과 우리 나라의 사망률이 일본의 2.8배，미국의 2.2배 수준인 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

This study aims to provide divers with improved safe diving practices by analyzing reports on scuba diving casualties that recently (from 1997-2(03) occurred in Korea, japan and USA The result of this study may contribute to reduce the diving accident. The data were collected through the diving accident reports of various sources, which include reports of the KUA (Korea Underwater Association) technical committee, the accident statistical data of Korea Coast Guard, articles of domestic and foreign scuba diving magazines, accident reports of carious newspapers, annual reports 0 11 decompression illness and diving fatalities by DAN (Diver Alert Network), diving accident data reported to local and national seminars, and medical treatment data of diving accident. The analysis focused on the diving casualties and the result showed that the casualty rate in Korea was 2.8 and 2.2 times higher than those in Japan and USA, respectively.
