국문 초록

최근 쓰기장애 학생의 쓰기표현력을 촉진하기 위한 대안적 방법으로 워드 프로세서의 활용이 대두되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 학생들에게 워드 프로세싱 프로그램을 이용한 쓰기표현 교수를 제공했을 때 글의 내용, 글의 길이 및 글의 정확도에 미치는 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 초등 고학년 아동 20명을 대상으로 실험집단에게는 10회기의 워드 프로세서 기능 교수 프로그램과 20회기의 워드 프로세싱 프로그램을 이용한 쓰기표현 교수를, 그리고 통제집단에게는 지필을 이용한 쓰기표현 교수만을 20회기 실시하고 워드 프로세서와 지필을 이용하여 2차에 걸친 사후검사를 한 후, 공분산 분석(ANCOVA)에 의한 집단간 차이검증을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 실험집단은 글의 내용, 글의 정확도(철자, 띄어쓰기, 문장부호)에 있어서는 1, 2차 사후검사 모두에서 유의하게 향상된 반면, 글의 길이에 있어서는 2차 사후검사에서만 유의하게 향상되었고, 문법사용 정확도는 집단간 유의한 차가 나타나지 않았다. 교육현장에서의 쓰기표현력 교수와 관련하여 연구결과가 주는 시사점과 추후 연구과제들을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to test the effect of written expression instruction by word processing on written expression ability in student s with writing disabilities at the intermediate grade level. For this purpose, 20 children with writing difficulties were selected to be divided into two groups, experimental and control (5 5th and 5 6th grader s). The experimental group was trained to acquire word processing techniques for 10 100-minute sessions and written expression skills for 20 60-minute sessions, while the control group was trained to learn written expression skills for 20 60-minute sessions by a traditional method (paper and pencils). The written expression instruction was composed of planning- composition- revision procedures, and the written expression ability was evaluated by measuring story content s, length, and correctness using pretest , the 1st posttest (word processor ) and the 2nd posttest (paper and pencils ). ANCOVA was used to analyze the collected data utilizing the written expression pretest score as a covariate. The result s obtained in this study are summarized as follows : (1) The experimental group showed significantly higher performance in story content ; (2) A significant differ - ence was not found between the 2 groups in story length with the 1st posttest , but a difference was found with the 2nd posttest ; and (3) In terms of story correctness, the experimental group showed significantly higher performance in spelling, spacing words, punctuation except grammar . This result implies that the written expression ability of student s with writing difficulties could be enhanced by providing them with sufficient opportunities to learn word processing skills along with appropriate written expression instruction.
