시각장애 학생과 일반학생을 대상으로 한 사회적 기술 평정척도의 기술적 적합성 검증 및 사회적 기술 특성 분석

국문 초록

청소년기의 학생들에게 사회적 기술은 독립적인 성인 생활의 필수 요소로서 중요하다. 본 연구는 청소년기의 시각장애 학생과 일반학생을 대상으로 이경림(2005)이 개발한 사회적 기술 평정척도의 기술적적합성을 검증하고 사회적 기술의 특성을 분석하는데 목적을 두고 실시되었다. 서울과 충북 지역의 중학교와 고등학교에 재학 중인 시각장애 학생 57명과 일반학교 학생 84명으로 총141명을 연구 대상으로 하여 각 학생의 사회적 기술을 담임교사들이 4점 척도로 평가하였다. 본 연구에서 사용한 사회적 기술 평정척도(SSRS-SVI, Social Skills Rating Scale for Students with Visual Impairments)는 53문항으로 구성되어 있다. 연구도구인 사회적 기술 평정척도가 시각장애 학생용으로 제작되어 있었기 때문에 척도의 기술적 적합성을검증하기 위한 분석을 우선적으로 실시하였고, 다음으로 시각장애 학생과 일반학생의 사회적 기술 특성을알아보기 위하여 t-검정을 실시하였다. 주성분 분석과 Kaiser정규화가 있는 베리멕스 회전 방법으로 사회적기술 평정척도에 대한 요인분석을 실시하여 1문항을 제외한 52문항으로 도구를 3요인으로 재구성시켰다.재구성된 도구의 문항내적일관성 신뢰도인 Cronbach α값은 .98, 3요인에 대한 신뢰도는 .97～.98로 산출되어 시각장애 학생과 일반학생에게도 사용 가능한 기술적인 적합성을 지닌 도구로 확인되었다. 또한 시각장애 학생과 일반학생의 사회적 기술 특성을 분석한 결과, 사회적 기술 평정척도의 항목, 요인과 전체점수에서 각각 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 시각장애 학생과 일반학생을 대상으로 하여 사회적 기술 특성에 차이가 있음을 확인할 수 있음에 그 의의를 찾을 수 있다. 또한, 시력정도, 성별, 학교급이 사회적 기술에영향을 미치는 주요 변인으로 확인되었다.

영문 초록

The social skill is indispensible to the students in adolescent period as an important element in leading an independent adult life for the future. This study aimed at providing the basic information on the characteristics about social skills and the intervention development by analyzing the nature about social skills for both the visually impaired and the sighted in such a period. A total of the 141 subjects were taken for research with 57 students with visual impairments and 84 students with normal vision in junior high schools and senior high schools sited in Seoul and North Chungcheong Province. Teachers in charge of the class evaluated the level of social skills for each individual by the 4-point scale. The SSRS-SVI, Social Skills Rating Scale for Students with Visual Impairments, applied for this work, consists of 53 question items. Since the social skills rating scale as a research tool was designed for students with visual impairments, the analysis to validate the technical compliance of scale was performed firstly. The main component analysis and variable analysis regarding the social skills rating scale were followed through Varimax rotation method with Kaiser normalization. Next, the 52 questioning items except one were broken down into three subcategories of factor. The Cronbach α as confidence for consistence yardstick in those questions turned out to be .98 in the re-structured tool. On the other hand, the confidence value for those three kinds of factor was in the range of 978～.983. This confirmed that the research tool was found suitable for both the visually handicapped group and the other regular group. In this examination, SSRS-SVI (Social Skills Rating Scale for Students with Visual Impairments) was confirmed to be the reliable application with a high level of confidence and validity for both parties, the visually impaired group and the sighted group. The analysis on social skills about the visually impaired and the sighted groups showed that there existed the significant difference in the lower subgroup of social skill rating scale by the school, gender, and degree of vision. Some significant differences took place in the category of social interactive factor, social recognition factor, and self-control factor, respectively. As another analytical result from the social skill nature about these two groups, the background factor was influential to the social skills as well. Namely, not to mention the social skills of the visually impaired and the sighted on the whole, it is meaningful in this study that the degree of individual's social skills could also be assessed and understood according to the background factors.
