유치원 교육과정 '사회생활영역' 내용에 대한 교사의 인식

국문 초록

본 연구는 현재 시행중인 제6차 유치원 교육과정 ‘사회생활영역’에서 제시하고 있는 교육내용에 대한 중요도 및 실시정도에 대한 교사의 인식을 살펴봄으로써 사회생활영역의 교육내용에 대한 검토 및 교사교육을 위한 시사점을 얻고자 하였다. 유치원 교사 250명을 대상으로 질문지를 배부하여 그중 201부를 연구대상으로 SPSS 프로그램을 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과, 사회생활영역을 구성하고 있는 교육 내용 중 교사들이 가장 중요하게 인식하고 또한 가장 높은 실시정도를 보인 내용은 ‘기본생활습관’이었으며, 개인생활, 가정생활, 집단생활로 구성된 교육내용은 중요도 인식은 높으나, 실시정도는 하위내용에 따라 각각 다르게 나타나 이에 대한 교사교육의 필요성이 제기되었으며, ‘사회현상과 환경’은 중요도 및 실시정도 모두 다른 영역에 비하여 낮은 것으로 나타났다. ‘사회생활영역’ 내용의 중요도 및 실시정도에 대한 인식이 교사의 학력, 경력, 담당학급에 따라 차이가 있는지 살펴본 결과 학력이나 경력보다는 담당학급에 따라 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to understand the teacher's perception and execution of content of 'social relationships' in the national kindergarten curriculum for young children. The subjects of this study were 201 kindergarten teachers in Seoul. The questionnaire were administered to the teachers to understand the teacher's perception and execution of the contents. The data were analyzed by statistical methods such as mean, percentage and F test with the SPSS for Windows 10.0 program. The research results can be summarized as below. The social relationships section focuses on children's development of basic living habits, learning to control thoughts and actions in order to integrate themselves to society, and cultivation of the basic attitudes required to be a democratic citizen. The kindergarten teachers perceived the most important content of the social relationships was 'basic living habits'. And the next was 'personal life', 'group life', 'family life' and the last was 'social phenomena and environment'. There were a no statically differences between the teacher's perceptions and execution by the teacher's academic and field career. But statically differences found in teacher's class of children's age.
