국문 초록

폴란드에서 한국문학 번역은 한국전쟁 이후인 1950 년대에 시작되었으며， 이후 북한에서 유학을 마치고 돌아온 한국어문학자들이 생겨나고， 바르샤바 대학교에 한국어문학과가 개설되면서 구체화되었다. 1989년 체제전환 이후 대한민국과의 교류가 본격화되면서 한국 문학 작품의 소개가 늘어났지만， 아직도 번역작업의 활성화는 이루어지지 못하고 있다. 폴란드 출판시장에 소개된 한국 관련 저서들은 아직도 북한에서 출판된 것들이 상당한 비중을 차지하고 있고， 무엇보다 현재 한국 문단에서 활발하게 활동하고 있는 젊은 작가의 작품들은 번역， 출간 된 적이 없다. 앞으로 폴란드의 일반 독자들에게 21 세기 한국문화의 새로운 연모를 알리기 위해서는 다양한 한국문학을 번역， 소개할 필요가 있다. 현 시점에서 폴란드 출판시장이 목말라하고， 폴란드의 독자들이 기대하는 21세기 형 외국문학 작품의 첫 번째 요건은 한국적인 감성과 범세계적인 정서의 적절한 조화라고 할 수 있다. 지금 폴란드 출판시장에서 주목받고 있는 베스트셀러를 살펴보면， 파울로 코헬료나 아멜리 노통브 처럼 국경을 초월하여 범세계적으로 큰 인기를 끌고 있는 작가들의 작품이라는 점에 주목할 펼요가 있다 장르를 넘나드는 독창적인 시도와 젊은 감각 또한 중요한 요소라고 할 수 있다. 오늘날 폴란드의 독자들은 영화나 TV 프로그램， 컴퓨터 게임 등 대중문화의 요소들을 실험적으로 도입한 작품들， 또는 기발하고 대담한 상상력을 바탕으로 문화적 특수성이나 지역적 한계를 초월하여 자유롭게 소통할 수 있는 작품들을 원한다. 그 밖에 작품에 대한 소개나 광고도 중요하지만 작가에 대한 집중적인 홍보를 통해 작가의 인지도를 최대한 높여서 그 작가에 대한 고정 독자층을 형성시킬 수 있게 유도할 수 있는 다양한 전략이 요구된다.

영문 초록

The translation of Korean literature in Poland had started in 1950's which is after the Korean war and had become concrete as the scholars of Korean literature who had come back from studying in North Korea had appeared and as the Korean literature department had been established in Warszawa University. Although the introduction of Korean literary works had increased as the exchange with Korea had become official after the change of system, the active translation is still not being accomplished. The writings related to Korea introduced in Poland's publishing market are still mostly consisted of the ones published in North Korea and most of all, there are no cases of works by young authors who are currently in active in Korean literary world being translated or published. In order to inform new features and diversity of Korean literature to general readers of Poland in the future, it is necessary to translate and introduce various Korean literature. The first requisite of 21st century type foreign literary works expected by readers of Poland could be defined as adequate harmony of Korean sentiments and universal emotions. When we take a look at the authors who are getting attention in Polish publication market at this time, we need to focus on the fact that they are authors who are getting general popularity beyond the boundaries of countries such as Paulo Coelho or Amelie Nothomb. Also, the independent attempt and youthful sense which is going back and forth between genres could also be called an important element. Today, the readers of Poland wish for works that have experimentally imported the elements of movies, TV programs or computer games, etc or the works that can communicate freely by transcending the cultural characteristics or regional limits based on bold imagination. Moreover, although the introduction or advertisement on the work are also important, various strategies to form regular readers on the author by raising the prominence through intensive publicity is required.
