소규모 항만 선택의 장애요인에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 화주 및 포워더 선사 등이 항만을 결정할 때 장애요인으로 작용하는 요인을 세부적으로 파악하기 위하여, 각 업종별․규모별․수출입 물동량별로 인식하는 장애요인에 어떠한 유의한 차이가 있는지 규명하고자 하였다. 따라서 화주 및 선사를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 선행문헌을 토대로 도출된 장애요인의 인식 정도를 SPSS 15.0을 이용하여 일원배치분산분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과를 살펴보면, 업종에 따른 가설1은 ‘낮은 항만서비스’와 ‘항만운영능력의 미숙’이 통계적으로 유의한 값을 가지고 있었다. 즉, 각 화주, 선사 및 무역업을 그룹화하여 봤을때 각 그룹별로 서비스 요인과 운영능력의 장애요인을 다르게 인식한다는 것을 둘째, 규모에 따른 가설 2“높은비용”을 제외하고 모두 통계적으로 유의한 값을 보이고 있으며 평균값은 기업의 크기가 커질수록 높게 나타나고 있다. 셋째,가설 3은 화물운영처리 미숙과 항만접근의 어려움이 통계적으로 유의하게 나타났다. 또한 취급 물동량이 커질수록 장애요인을 높게 인식하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구의 실증결과를 살펴보면 각 장애요인을 업종별, 크기별, 물동량 취급별로 차이가 나타나며 물동량 취급양이 많아질 수록 장애요인을 높게 인식한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 중소형 항만의 경우 물동량 유치를 위해서 획일화된 포트세일 전략보다 그룹별로 접근하는 것이 필요하다는 실증적 결과를 제시한다.

영문 초록

This paper aims to identify and evaluate the barriers in the decision to choose small-medium sized port by exporters, importers, ship owners and forwarding companies. The selection factors in the choice of small-medium sized port include the following four factors: difficulty of port accessibility, high expense, low service and institute of cargo handling capacity. we established 3 hypotheses for exploring the determinants to the choice of small-medium sized port.Firstly, we assumed that the industrial classification of the port may make a difference to the barriers to the choice of small-medium sized port. The results show that two factors(low service and high expense) have a mean value of a high standard and an "F" value of the Test Statistics as follows- low service(.023)and high expense(.065). These are also significant statistically. Secondly, hypothesis 2 "according to which size of firm", may make a difference to the barriers factors to the choice of small-medium sized port are significant statistically in except for high expense. Thirdly, the result of Hypothesis 3 "the amount of handled cargoes may make a difference to the barriers to the choice of small-medium sized por" shows that the 'difficulty of port accessibility' and 'institute of cargo handling capacity' are the only significant statistical factor. These results could suggest meaningful thoughts for the sale of smal-medium sized Port. That is, they can become aware of their direction of approach as to which type of industrial, size, amount of handled cargoes would best suit the port.
